If you cancel your policyIf you cancel your policy within 14 days of receiving your policy documents you will have to pay acancellation fee of £38 and for time on cover unless you have made a total loss claim, in which case alloutstanding payments will become due and no refund will be given.

If you cancel outside of the 14 day cooling-off period, we will charge a cancellation fee of £75 and apercentage of the total premium payable for the policy.

If you cancel while a claim is outstanding, you will have to pay the total amount of premium due beforethe claim can be settled. If you cancel after a claim has been settled you will have to pay the totalamount of premium due. In either case no refund of premiums already paid will be given.

If you cancel any additional products taken out with this policy, but not the main policy within 14 days ofreceiving our policy documentation, you will pay for time on cover only. After this time, no refund will begiven. If you cancel the main policy then any additional products taken out will also be cancelled and norefund will be given for these products.

In any of the above circumstances the Customer agreesand acknowledges that the Policy may be cancelled andthat a fee will be charged in respect of reasonableadministration costs incurred and agrees to pay all legaland other expenses incurred in obtaining payment ofany amounts due.

Policy ProceedsYou authorise BISL Limited to i) collect, receive andotherwise obtain payment of all monies payable underyour policy whether by way of claims proceeds,premium refunds or otherwise and ii) apply suchmonies towards payment of the premium payable (tothe extent not already paid) and any other amountsdue under any agreement for the provision of credit tofinance the payment of the premium. Any balanceremaining after the payment of those amounts shall bepaid to you but you will remain responsible for anyshortfall.

4. General4.1 Any notice given to the Customer shall be deemed

correctly served if sent by post to the Customer'slast known address.

4.2 BFSL Limited may assign or transfer all or any of itsrights and/or duties under this Agreement and/orany amounts owing by the Customer, but no suchtransfer will have the effect of varying the terms ofpayment or any provision of this Agreement to theCustomer's detriment. No rights or obligations ofthe Customer under this Agreement may beassigned or transferred.

Premium payment and proceedsBy paying us the premium required by your insurer forthe period of insurance, you authorise BISL Limited to i)collect, receive and otherwise obtain payment of allmonies payable under your policy whether by way ofclaims proceeds, premium refunds or otherwise and ii)apply such monies towards payment of the premiumpayable (to the extent not already paid) and any otheramounts due under any agreement for the provision ofcredit to finance the payment of the premium and iii)hold your premium and any money received from yourinsurer whether a refund of premium from a changeyou have made or a cash settlement of a claim you havemade as an agent of your insurer.Any balance remaining after the payment of thoseamounts shall be paid to you but you will remainresponsible for any shortfall.

Fraudulent claimsIf any false, fraudulent or exaggerated claim is madeunder this policy or any fraudulent means are used toobtain any benefit under this Policy then no part of anyclaim will be paid and all cover under the Policy will beforfeited.

Other insurancesIf at the time of any incident which results in a claimunder your policy there is any other insurance in forcecovering the same liability, loss or damage, we will onlypay our share of the claim. The share to be paid by eachinsurer will be determined either by the appropriateCourt or by agreement between the insurers involved.

LawThe parties to this contract of insurance are permittedto choose the law applicable to the contract. This policyis governed by English Law and English will be thelanguage used.

Notice which we are required to give you under thispolicy will be sent to you by post to the postal addressshown in the 'Details of Cover'. The notice will begin onthe day such notice is posted.

Notice

Where a policy is cancelled a refund of part of thetotal cost of cover paid may be due. Refunds will only bepayable if the Certificate of Motor Insurance is returnedto us. Any refund due will be calculated as follows,less any deduction shown in the Policy PaymentArrangements.

If either You or We cancel your policy within 14 days ofreceipt of your policy documentation, we will refundthat part of the total cost of cover paid which relatesto the term of the policy remaining at the date ofcancellation. This amount will be refunded when wereceive the Certificate, unless you have made a total lossclaim in which case no refund will be given.

Thereafter refunds will only be given if no incident hasoccurred which has led to a claim, or may yet lead to aclaim against the policy and calculated as follows.

If either You or We cancel your policy within 12months of the Policy Start Date, we will calculate thecost for the period of cover based on our short periodrates in force when we receive the Certificate of MotorInsurance and refund any excess that you have paid.

You may cancel your policy with immediate effect bynotifying us by phone or by post. Our contact detailscan be found on the reverse of your Certificate. Wemay cancel this policy by giving you at least seven daysnotice in writing.

If you fail to disclose a material fact your policy may bevoided from the policy start date and no prior noticewill be given.

In order to assess the terms of the insurancecontract or administer claims, we will need tocollect personal data which the Data ProtectionAct 1998 defines as sensitive, such as medicalhistory or criminal convictions and we may need totransfer this data overseas.
