Job description Job purpose: Desgins the installation in discipline for project.

Reporting lines and interactions: 

Functionally reports to: Lead Discipline Engineer

Operationally reports to: Group Leader / Lead Discipline Engineer

Directly supervises:

Key interactions (internally): Designers and Engineers

Main accountabilities : 

  Shall have minimum 3 years relevant working experience ininstrumentation field of Oil and Gas Industry for Offshore andOnshore projects.

  Shall have an Engineering DRAFTING Certification/Diploma,STM/SMA degree or equivalent

  Familiar with international design codes and standards.

  Familiar of various instrumentation design activities like layouts,hook-ups and wiring schemes, etc.

  Knowledge of Smart Plan Instrumentations, PDS and PDMS will beadded advantage.

  Computer literate and is required shall be proficient working on MS

Office, AutoCAD, Micro station etc.

Nice to have:

Shall possess good communication skills in English language. Previousexperience as

 JOB PURPOSE : To deliver the required work on Instrument as required byProject and Lead Engineer.

REPORTING LINES AND INTERACTIONS: 

Hierarchically reports to : Instrument Department Manager

Operationally reports to : Instrument Lead Engineer

Directly supervises : Designers and draftsman

Key interactions (internally, externally): 

Internally : Telecoms Engineer, Designers and Draftsmen. Otherdepartment’s engineer and 

Draftsmen.

Externally : Client and Vendors

TYPICAL BACKGROUND AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: 

Must have : Recognized Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent.

Minimum 3 years of related work experience.Good results, good command or written and spoken

English.

Nice to have : Registered with Board of Engineers Malaysia.Experience in Oil & Gas industry.Knowledge of API/ ISO/ IEC/ BS, codes and

standards, etc.

MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES 

1. Prepare specifications as per Project/ Lead Engineer’s requirements. 2. Check and ensure the documents prepared are of good quality.3. Vendor Bid Evaluations and Vendor Data Review4. Responsible for correctness of work any assigned subordinate.
