There are a number of important poles/bars, especially when you are setting up the tent.

First there are two short adjustable poles that support the roof bar over the bed. It is a good idea to always leave these at the side of or on the mattress when packing up the tent. That way they are easy to get to when erecting the tent and they are 2 of the first poles we suggest you use

when putting up the tent. . Usually these 2 short poles are already packed in the factory with 1 on each side of the mattress, but they may also be in the pole bag.

The above pictures show the short adjustable pole and how to fit it between the bed base and the roof bar.

The second set of poles for the initial set up are called spreader bars. These bars have a plastic clip on each end of the bar and are used to spread the roof bars apart.

We suggest that you keep at least 2 or 4 of these spreader bars on the mattress as they are used when setting up the tent and help stop the tent folding back down when you are trying to set up.

Tip. It is a good idea before setting up the tent, to lay out all poles that come with the

tent & annex on the ground, so that you have easy access to them when setting up. Each pole is numbered.
