APECET-2018 ADMISSIONS
INSTRUCTIONS
Sir,
Salient features of the process:
To expedite the counseling process, online verification of the candidate’s data is taken
up this year with the help of web services from organizations such as SBTET, Mee
Seva, Praja Pradhikara Survey-Govt. of AP, SAEDERM and data of about 90% of
qualified candidates is verified.
The web application for HLC activity or student activity will run using Internet
Explorer 9.0 and above browser with a screen resolution of 1024 x 768. If facing
any difficulty in using the website, then change
Compatibility settings.
Candidates will pay the processing fee through online [OC/BC-Rs.1200 & SC/ST-
Rs.600/-] through the Processing fee payment online link in the web site
https://apecet.nic.in
If the data of the candidate is verified, Registration number will be sent to
registered mobile of the candidate through SMS. If the SMS is not received, the
problem may be with the mobile number given at the time of filing ECET
application that is available in the data. In such case, candidate has to get his
mobile number updated by approaching nearest HLC with his/her identity proof
such as ECET hall ticket or Aadhar Card.
If the data of the candidate is not verified, Registration number will not be sent,
instead a message to attend certificate verification at HLC will be sent.
Using candidate registration number, ECET hall ticket number, rank, date of
birth details, candidate can generate password for login. Candidates whose data
is not verified will have to approach nearest HLC for verification of their
certificates as was done previously. Candidates whose data is verified will get a
display of their data and they need to confirm its correctness by clicking at the
check box and proceed to generate their password to proceed for option entry. If
the candidate disagrees with the data, he/she shall approach the HLC for
correction by producing a valid documentary proof and then only he/shall
generate the password.
Login ID will be sent to all such candidates on successful generation of password
through SMS to registered mobile number. If login ID is not received they can get
the information by sending an SMS from their registered mobile to
8790499899 in the format APECET<space>01<space>hallticket number
after generating password.
Candidate can sign in using the login ID, APECET Hall ticket, generated
password and date of birth in Candidate login link for exercising options.
Sometimes due problem in compatibility settings of the browser, candidate may
face the problem in login. This can be noticed by “password input box getting
highlighted in RED colour” or “enter 10 or fewer characters in the password
box” message. In such case candidate shall be asked to change the browser
settings by following the procedure prescribed therein.
Candidate will get an OTP to his registered mobile. Using the OTP, candidate
can enter into the options screen for exercising options.
If the candidate forgets the password, he can click at the Forgot your password
link in candidate login page.
PAYMENT OF PROCESSING FEE
1. Processing fee for OC/BC is Rs.1200/- and for SC/ST it is Rs.600/-. Candidates have been informed to pay the processing fee on line either through debit card / credit card / net banking options well before they come for HLC for verification of their certificates
2. HLC Co-coordinators are instructed not to collect processing fee from the candidates
3. Processing fee can be paid by the candidate online using credit
card or debit card or through net banking from 08.07.2018 in https://apecet.nic.in
4. Candidate with Registration Fee paid only on or after 08.07.2018 will be considered for Certificate Verification at HLCs
5. Candidate will produce fee receipt paid through online at the time of verification of certificates.
6. Candidate shall note that he/she shall have paid the processing fee when candidate attends for certificate verification as per the schedule
and ranks mentioned against each date. i.e the processing fee should be paid online by the candidate before he/she attends
certificate verification. 7. Advice the candidates to pay processing fee online in
https://apecet.nic.in if not paid.
8. Provide one system separately to pay processing fee by the candidate if candidate attends certificate verification without paying processing
fee.
IMPORTANT POINTS
1. Aadhar Card Number of the candidate ,SSC hall ticket number, SSC
Passing Month & Year are displayed, Verify them and update if
2. Registration-cum-verification form as well as Receipt of Certificates
shall be printed on A4 size plain white paper only using Laser
printers.
3. Original certificates of candidates shall be verified and returned to
candidate keeping a set of Xerox copies.
4. Certificate verification for special categories [NCC/PH/CAP and
Sports] will be done only at Andhra Loyola college,Vijayawada.
5. Allotment of seats will be intimated to candidate by SMS. Candidates
can confirm their willingness to join in the allotted college through
their login and need not come to HLC for reporting. However,
provision for reporting at HLC is also provided.
6. Candidates have to pay the tuition fee only at the end of final phase
of counseling at the college and report to the college finally allotted
along with original certificates for verification only. Instruct the
candidate that the Original certificates need not be deposited in
the college at the time of admission. However, candidate shall
report at the college allotted to confirm his allotment in each phase of
allotment by the college by producing joining report of each phase.
This information should be made available in counseling hall at
different places and give clarification to students at the time of
certificate verification.
7. Use of Polythene covers is dispensed.
A. REGISTRATION AND PROCESSING FEE COLLECTION COUNTER:
1. Process candidates in integrated rank order scheduled on that day.
2. Make the following announcements:
Keep APECET-18 Rank Card, copies of caste certificate, 10th class pass
memo ready.
Every candidate shall furnish a mobile number that belongs to him or his
parents or the nearest friend.
Candidates claiming NCC/Sports/Physically Handicapped and CAP
reservations shall be asked to attend certificate verification at ANDHRA
LOYOLA COLLEGE, VIJAYAWADA along with other original certificates.
3. Call candidates in convenient batches of 50 or 100 in integrated rank order as
per hall capacity. Plan the day’s schedule into convenient batches and
announce time slots to avoid longer periods of waiting for candidates and
parents. Allow late reporting candidates those are scheduled in previous days.
4. Collect copies of ECET rank card and SSC/ CBSE/ICSE/Equivalent pass
memo/Caste certificate to enter the details in the system.
5. Enter URL https://apecetd.nic.in .
6. Select User type as Fee Receipt. and type User Id and Password similar to
initial status of APEAMCET-2018 with a little change of 88 replacing 77 e.g.,
APCR36F88 instead of APCR36F77. Enter the details and login.
7. You are required to change the password when you login for first time. The
password shall be of 10 character length and shall comprise of a combination of
lower case, upper case letters, special characters and numerals.
8. Re-login into the Fee Receipt user type with the changed password.
9. Click on Fee Receipt and select Processing fee
10. Enter APECET-2018 Hall Ticket Number, Branch Rank and click on show.
11. Verify & Update SSC/CBSE/ICSE/Equivalent Hall ticket number, passing
Month and Year if required. Enter mobile number. Duplicate entries are not
accepted. Update Aadhar Card Number [ not mandatory] if necessary.
12. Handover basic information sheet and ask them to fill the particulars.
13. Send the candidates in suitable batches to the verification hall. 14. Instruct all candidates to keep two sets of Xerox copies of all original
certificates.
B. CERTIFICATE VERIFICATION COUNTER
1. Print the registration cum verification form for each candidate from the URL
https://apecetd.nic.in in user type Registration-cum-veri.
User ID will be of the pattern HLCCODER88 for example ANTP01R88 and the
password by default will also be ANTP01R88. You are required to change your
password .
Re-login to the Registration-cum-ver with the changed password.
Select Print Registration-cum-verification form, from Registration. Enter the hall
ticket number and rank in the window, and click on Show.
1. Guide the SC/ST/BC candidates to proceed to caste verification officers for
verification. The caste verification officer can offer his remarks on the registration
cum verification form or on a separate verification form supplied to the help line
centres. They shall be instructed to inform the Coordinator in writing before caste
claim of any candidate is rejected. They shall also be instructed to inform the
“caste claim doubtful” cases to their concerned Commissionerates with full
details of the candidates for enquiry. As long as a valid caste certificate issued by
a competent authority is in possession of the candidate, the caste claim shall not
be rejected at the verification stage.
2. All other candidates along with the category candidates shall be directed to the
verification counters to verify the original certificates of candidates. A set of Xerox
copies of all originals shall be collected and verified with the corresponding
originals as per the list printed on the verification form. Staple the set of Xerox
copies of certificates in the registration cum verification form. DO NOTCOLLECT
ORIGINAL CERTIFICATES FROM CANDIDATES.
3. Collect a set of XEROX COPIES OF ALL ORIGINALS of following certificates
and verify with the originals :
a) APECET2018- Rank Card (For rank card visit http://sche.ap.gov.in/ECET )
b) APECET2018-Hall Ticket (For Hall Ticket visit http://sche.ap.gov.in/ECET )
c) X class pass memo {Check date of birth, pass in mathematics)
d) Admission into certain branches of study at B.E./B.Tech. level requires that
Mathematics at inter or diploma level is compulsory.
e) Diploma pass certificate and marks memos. Enter percentage of marks in diploma
level. Candidates with>=44.5% for OCs and >=39.5% for reserved
categories(BC/SC/ST).
f) Insist for equivalence certificate of Diploma (issued by SBTET) if the
candidate submits a diploma certificate other than from SBTET.
g) Study certificates from Diploma to 7th class (Decide local area as per rules). Local
area is decided based on the places of study of the candidate but not on the
residence of the parents. Certain diploma courses/institutions
(Ref.G.O.Ms.No.100) are admitting candidates on statewide basis. That period of
study shall not be considered for deciding local area (in such cases observe the
places of study from 10th to 4th).
h) In case of non-local candidates, Residence certificate (not Nativity) of ether of
parents for 10 years in A.P. issued by revenue officials or Service certificate from
State/Central/Public Sector Units/Quasi Govt. Organizations if either of parents is
working currently in Andhra Pradesh
i) Community, Nativity and Date of Birth Certificate issued by competent authority
(MRO/Tahsildar/RDO/Collector as the case may be).
j) Transfer Certificate from the institution last studied. This can be used to decide
minority status and to ascertain caste claim (in absence of caste certificate as a
preliminary proof). Private candidates shall submit TC (or Minority certificate) from
the school last studied.
k) Income certificate issued by Tahsildar of the place of residence issued on or after
01-01-2014 or White ration Card in case of candidates claiming Fee
Reimbursement Income limit for fee reimbursement Rs.1,00,000/- per annum for
OC/BC/Minority/PH and Rs.2,00,000/- per annum for SC/ST of parents from all
sources. Death certificate of father or both parents as the case may be if the
income certificate is on mother or other’s name. If the income certificate is not of
parents, the relationship of the third person with the candidate shall be
established and an affidavit shall be insisted as additional proof.
l) As per Memo No.10537/SW/Edn.2/2011 dated 20.10.2012 issued by Social
Welfare (Edn.2) Department, the maximum eligible age as on first July of the
academic year ( in present case 1.7.2018) for obtaining a scholarship is 29 years
for SC/ST/BC and 25 years for all others.
m) Minority certificate shall be insisted in absence of religion proof in Transfer
Certificate. In case of BC_E, BC_C candidates with a valid caste certificate,
minority status can be straight away entered with X in verification. No separate
minority certificate need be insisted if the religion is mentioned in Transfer
certificate.
Coordinator shall be informed before rejecting any candidate. The causes of
rejection shall be specifically recorded on the verification form. This will be useful
in legal matters.
n) There is no upper age limit prescribed for admission.
o) Do not alter the data of PH/NCC/Sports/CAP fields, as they are verified at
Vijayawada.
p) Special category candidates shall be directed to attend for verification at
VIJAYAWADA only.
q) Enter URL https://apecetd.nic.in . Select user type Verification, and type User Id
and Password similar to registration e.g., ANTP01V188 or ANTP01V288 or
ANTP01V388. Enter the details and login. Depending on rush, another verification
counter can be opened. Feed the data in to the verification form and ensure
correctness of entries in the fields.
r) BOTH VERIFICATION STAFF AND THE CHIEF VERIFICATION OFFICERS
ARE REQUESTED TO ENSURE CORRECTNESS OF ENTRY OF DATA INTO
THE COMPUTER ESPECIALLY IN THE FIELDS SEX, LOCAL AREA, CASTE,
SPECIAL RESERVATION CATEGORY/PRIORITY, MINORITY AS THE
LEGITIMATE SUFFERER IS THE CANDIDATE AND INTURN THE
CREDIBILITY OF THE SYSTEM.
Enter the data in the fields, set the eligibility and save. Give a print out of Receipt
of certificate to the candidate before leaving the hall.
s) Ask the candidate to check mobile number edit if necessary. Print a fresh receipt
of certificates and hand over to the candidate whenever any field in the already
printed form is altered for any reason. Mobile number of the candidate shall be
edited in case of any correction. The mobile number can not be edited
further once the verification process is completed. Mobile number field is
unique and no two candidates can have the same mobile number data in
ECET.
t) Candidates attending with a valid court order shall be allowed for certificate
verification and a set of copies of all documents submitted along with the
remarks of the caste verification officer shall be sent to the Camp Officer,
APECET-2018 ADMISSIONS, Flat.No:104, ANR towers, Jammichettu
Street,Prasadampadu,Vijayawada-521108 to submit the same to the legal cell.
C.BRIEFING HALL:
The web application of candidate registration and option
entry is designed to work in systems containing Internet
Explorer version 9.0 or above and not in other browsers like
Google Chrome, Mozilla firefox, etc.
For candidates registration the candidates shall use
Registration Number printed on left hand side corner of
Receipt of Certificates.
For option entry candidates shall use the login Id number
communicated to his mobile as soon as the candidate
completes his certificate verification.
Ask the candidates to exercise as many options as possible
preferably in their local area as the number of unreserved
seats will be less and they are to be allotted first with a
common merit list of local and non-local candidates.
Options shall be arranged in the descending order of merit of a
particular college and course as per the desire of the
candidate.
Candidates shall be asked to download the list of college
codes and courses from the website https://apecet.nic.in and
use them for option entry.
When a candidate makes a login through CANDIDATE LOGIN,
a one-time password [OTP] will be generated and will be
communicated to the registered mobile of the candidate. The
candidate can enter this OTP and continue option entry. The
OTP is valid for 20 minutes for login or first successful login
whichever is earlier.
Candidates shall be informed about this change as well as the
importance of the mobile number given at the time of
certificate verification.
D.OPTION ENTRY:
Do not allow candidates to enter options directly on web without a
filled in manual option form. Persons with Integrity shall be employed to
maintain the option entry counters. Persons accompanying the candidates
shall be observed whether same person is attending for all. Candidate shall
be enquired upon the relationship of the accompanying person. Password
shall be entered by candidate only. Give a print out of the saved options to
the candidate and ask him to check by comparing with the manual option
form already he/she had with them. Instruct the candidates to close the
browser after the job is finished at the option entry counter.
E. REQUESTS FOR CHANGE OF PASSWORD:Candidate has been given a
provision to reset his forgotten password provided he/she has furnished
the mobile number.
Comply with the instructions scrupulously and avoid complacency at
each stage to prevent legal issues at a later stage.
