Education creates an opportunity for students to grow as learners and as leaders. Education should enable students to mature through experiences that promote a responsible citizen.

TEACHERS SET GOALS FOR THEIR CLASSROOMExcellent teachers raise expectations for their students. I am

experienced in using continuous improvement methods to

increase confidence and facilitate progress in students’

academic skill level. My goal is to use 21st century learning

strategies to incorporate technology with cross-

curricular project based learning units that incorporate multiple

subject areas and experiential learning for students.

STUDENTS LEARN BY EXAMPLE.

The teacher's role is to challenge each student. I create a learning environment that nurtures the specialized instructional needs of each student, mentor students, and model the qualities of a lifelong learner. Teachers have the responsibility to facilitate experiences for students that develop social and academic achievement.STUDENTS LEARN IN COOPERATION. Outstanding teachers create a culture of caring among students. I am able to create a sense of community in my classroom. I commit classroom time to activities that allow for collaboration. I am currently researching the use of differentiated instruction to construct an environment where each student is able to learn, achieve, and excel according to his or her unique learning style.
