Option2: In 1926, a group of people volunteered to drive/manage the trains/coaches so they broke the strike; while in 2014, citizens rode their bicycles to do the same / to fight against for the same reason as the ones in 1926 .

b) How did cycling affect women in the world?Option1:

Option2:Cycling helped women by creating an association of female bike users; this way, women could forget about their lives and feel free from oppressive husbands. They also opposed fashion when it pushed ladies to wear garments which could be harmful for their bodies / health.
