  • Although being among the top ten reformers for the previous three years; Egypt still ranked low in terms of ease of doing business.

Egypt superior ranking for starting business is then affected by a lot of problematic areas that lead to a lagged ranking for the overall ease of doing business 15.   • Egypt economic freedom score is 59.0, making its economy the 94th worldwide, and the 11th out of 17 countries in the Middle East/North Africa.
