Installation Instructions
Recessed Horizontal Headwall Double Tier
Majestic Series
w w w . a m i c o . c o m
2 Amico Corporation
1. During the framing and rough-in stage, frame the opening in the wall to allow for installation of the recessed Headwall. Refer to shop drawings for your particular headwall dimensions. Framing should provide adequate support for the weight of the headwall, including any accessories that may be mounted on the headwall during use.
2. Review a copy of the final approved shop drawing(s). These documents will provide you with technical information specific to your installation, such as:
• Equipment types and quantities
• Room numbers and locations
• Shop drawings of each unit type
• Wiring diagrams and rough-in locations
3. Locate the unit inside the crate that you wish to install. The contents of each crate are listed on the shipping document(s) and crate label.
One unit is shipped complete (see Figure 1)
Remaining units are shipped as components for ease of installation (see Figure 2):
• Console assembly
• Front frame with fascia
• Cover plates for devices (not shown)
• Hardware if applicable (not shown)
Before Installation
The installation instructions provided are for Amico standard products. Slight modifications to the installation instructions may be required. The product shipped to the job site may not be exactly as shown in the installation drawings used in this manual.

Installation
1. Install the console assembly into the wall opening (see Figure 3).
2. The unit should be mounted in such a way that allows for project specific drywall thickness (see Figure 5 for reference, using a 5/8" [16 mm] drywall setup).
3. Ensure that the mounting location corresponds to the on-site rough-in locations for medical gas and electrical rough-ins.
4. Once the console assembly is in the correct position, attach the console assembly to the studs using the holes on the side and the frame provided with the unit. (see Figure 4) Use hardware that is compliant with applicable local building codes (supplied by others).
5. The unit should be mounted in such a way that, once drywall is installed, the frame will protrude 5/8" (16 mm) out of the wall (see Figure 5 for reference, using a 5/8" [16 mm] drywall set up).

Electrical devices are terminated at junction locations at the top of the unit. See Figure 6 for reference. See project specific rough in drawings for exact rough-in locations.
2. Proceed with drywall installation. See Figure 7 for drywall setup.
3. Remove the fascias from the frame using the lift method (See Figure 8).
