Face massage

When set to the face massage function, the Shower Skincare Handset™ delivers a softer flow of water that can be aimed directly at your face. The water flow is designed so that you can breathe easily while enjoying a gentle facial massage.

Body massage

When set to the massage function, the Shower Skincare Handset™ generates high-velocity pulses of water to create a genuine massage experience.

All over shower

Choose from two all-over shower functions:

Narrow setting for smaller •shower cubicles and to direct the Satinjet spray along the spine

Wide setting for bigger •shower cubicles and to direct the Satinjet spray across the shoulders

Reduces the adverse effects of chlorine

Healthy skin starts with healthy water. Chlorine strips our skin and hair of moisture and elasticity, resulting in dry, itchy skin and scalp. It destroys the protein (Keratin) in our hair, leaving it looking dry. Coloured hair may also fade. The Shower Skincare Handset™ counteracts these adverse effects by releasing Vitamin C into the water stream, from a cartridge that fits inside the shower handset.

Satinjet® and your skin

Showers using single jets of water can produce a needle- like spray. The Shower Skincare Handset™ has twin jets that produce thousands of tiny droplets per second – a spray gentle enough for your face yet strong enough to invigorate circulation over your entire body.

SHOWER SKINCARE HANDSET™

Only the jets in the centre circle of the silver plate operate.

All jets on the handset face operate in the above two positions.

The jets in the silver plate do not operate leaving the breathing zone.

Quick and easy to self- install

The kit comes with the Shower Skincare Handset™ and hose to connect to an existing rail shower system. Adaptors for other showers can be purchased separately.

HOW TO INSTALL THE SHOWER SKINCARE HANDSET™

. Simply lift the existing handset from the cradle

. Unscrew the existing hose from the wall outlet

. Screw on the Shower Skincare Handset

. Screw the new hose into the wall outlet

. Fit back into the cradle

Slide the cover on to the handset ensuring the locking button protrudes through the slot in the cover. If the cover does not fit, the locking ring is not in the correct position.

Turn the locking ring clockwise to lock the cartridge in place.Push the head of the Dechlorination Vitamin C Cartridge firmly into place with your thumb.

INSERTING THE DECHLORINATION CARTRIDGE

To remove the cover, simultaneously push down on the grey button on the top of the cover while pushing down and forward on the grey thumbgrip.

With the cover removed, turn the locking ring anti-clockwise.

Lift the cartridge out and away from the showerhead.

Replace the cartridge with a new Dechlorination Vitamin C Cartridge. Place the tapered end of the cartridge into the base of the handset. Ensure it fits firmly in place.

SHOWER SKINCARE POD™ AND CONDITIONING INFUSION CARTRIDGES

Soften your skin and boost your spirits while you shower.

The Shower Skincare Pod™ houses a Conditioning Infusion Cartridge containing New Zealand botanical extracts and aromatherapy oils.

The easy-to-install Pod is easily operated with a slide control.

This control switches the flow of skin conditioner on and off as well as varying the level of intensity (if you have very strong water pressure, adjust

the control to low so that you only use what you need). When in the ‘off’ position, skin conditioner will not flow into the shower water.

At the end of your shower cleansing ritual, switch to the ‘on’ position (for a few minutes) and enjoy one of four skin conditioning and aromatherapy experiences. Remember to turn off your Pod before stepping out of the shower.

The Starter Kit comes with everything you need to connect the Pod to a rail shower system. Adaptors for other showers can be purchased separately.

HOW TO INSTALL THE POD

Unscrew your existing hose from the water outlet on the wall.

Screw the end of the Pod’s short hose, with the seal to the water outlet. Note: The Pod will not work if attached to the handset.

Screw your existing hose to the base of the Pod.Adjust the Pod so it is facing the front and insert a cartridge. (See cartridge installation instructions on the next page.)

Screw the Pod’s short hose to the top of the Pod.

INSERTING THE CONDITIONING INFUSION CARTRIDGE

Gently push down on the cartridge to seal it into place. Your cartridge is now ready to use.

Remove the white plug from the base of the cartridge. Note: Make sure you keep the plug, as you will need this when storing the cartridge in the cartridge caddy.

Insert the cartridge into the top of the Pod – coloured cap at the top.

To control the flow of the skin conditioner, adjust the intensity by moving the slider up or down. When the slider is in the “off” position the Pod will not release conditioner into the water stream.

To remove the cartridge, pull it upwards and out of the Pod. Replace the white plug if storing.

Note: As the skin conditioner is dispersed into the shower spray when in use the top of the cartridge will start to fill with water. The cartridge is empty once the cartridge is full of water and conditioner is no longer being dispersed into the shower spray.

Operating pressure:Suitable for mains or high pressure only.•Recommended 300–500 kPa/43.5–72.5 psi/1.5 bar •and above.Connections: All ½” BSP.•

The shower water infused with the Skin Conditioning Infusion is not suitable for drinking.

All installations must include check valves, (NRV) to prevent any potential contamination of the mains water supply, if back flow should occur. A non-return valve (NRV) has been fitted to the Shower Skincare Pod at time of manufacture.

Methven warrants the Shower Skincare Handset™ and the Shower Skincare Pod™ against manufacturing defects and that it is suitable for use under the operating conditions specified in this installation guide.

CLEANING GUIDE

Caring for your Shower Skincare Handset™ and Shower Skincare Pod™

To keep your products in the best operating condition:Wash with warm, soapy water on a weekly basis.•Do not put in the dishwasher.•Avoid harsh cleaners. •If the Pod is not being used for a period of time, remove •cartridge from the Pod, seal with the plug and store.
