INSPIRING SOLAR ARCHITECTURE. A NEW SWISS WEB-PLATFORM FOR SOLAR BUILDINGS AND BIPV EXEMPLARY SHOWCASES With the Support of A Project of: VISION New technological possibilities and inspiring projects of solar architecture have been created and need to be promoted in order to captivate architects, showing the architectural quality of a multidisciplinary approach bridging energy, design and con- struction. GOAL The main goal of this project is to promote solar construction by inspiring ar- chitects with the presentation of attractive contents and good practices (showcases) aimed to firstly motivate architects (main goal-first stage) and secondarily to provide useful information and knowledge (second goal-progressive implementation). The plan is to create motivation, keep in- terest and raise awareness, by supporting the architects (and secondarily also differ- ent stakeholders and decision makers) on the capabilities, potentials and strengths of solar integration in contemporary architecture and building skin in order to enhance the transfer and foster a wider application of such tech- nologies in construction projects.We see the establishment of an innovative Swiss web platform as a key for the promotion and fur- ther development of solar architecture. CONTENTS The web-platform will focus on exemplary showcases primarily to inspire architects and also as a mean to elaborate other contents such as BIPV prod- ucts or useful information: technical devel- opments, innovative applications, marketing aspects, etc.). Inspiration: launch of the beta version of the web platform 2018 Information: contents’ imple- mentation and collaboration with stakeholders for the development. 2019 Knowledge: strategic contents’ implementation (e.g. scientific and thematic focuses, examples’ and products’ databases, social media, tools, etc.) 2020 The running web platform will be regularly updated and maintained. 2021 PROJECT STEPS F.
