Onboarding Center (OBC) Overview The Onboarding Center (OBC) is a dedicated team of onboarding experts
who guide customers in onboarding their organization to Office 365
services
OBC experts include Onboarding Engineers (OE) and Onboarding
Managers (OM) who use specialized onboarding guidance,
documentation, and tools to assist the customer complete the required
provisioning and configuration tasks for each eligible service purchased
Onboarding guidance, etc. is built upon a prescriptive onboarding
approach known as FastTrack which is engineered to deliver quick and
predictable outcomes, and the best experience for customers onboarding
to Office 365
Microsoft provides enhanced onboarding support for eligible customers

Depending on environment, these are the activities you may need to perform
Network configuration, analysis, bandwidth validation, testing, and monitoring
Technical change management approval process and supporting documentation
Rationalization and definition of group policies for user, workstation, and server management
AD DS design, installation, and configuration, including trusts and site definitions
AD clean up and remediation activities from IDFix
Infrastructure, design changes or modifications to existing on-premises messaging servers
Configuration to existing on-premises messaging servers
Coexistence with business applications

Microsoft-provided enhanced onboarding support for eligible customers
Mailbox migration Microsoft will migrate mailboxes from the following source environments
• Single Exchange organization at Exchange 2003+
• Single Lotus Domino 7.0.3+ environment
• Single IMAP accessible email (i.e., Gmail) environment
• Single Exchange + Single IMAP, Single Domino + Single IMAP
Migration schedule and operations • Migration will be done on standardized prescheduled 24x5 basis in pre-
defined migration time slots with 3 migration time slots per migration day
• All migrations will use Microsoft cloud-based migration tools
• Post-migration report for the migration time slot is provided
to customer
Customer expectations and responsibilities • Migration schedule and specific mailboxes
• Client-side migration issue support
• End user communications
• Migration of client side data (.pst, local Outlook settings, local
contacts)
• Post migration support
• Remediation or migration of Lotus Domino applications
and application data
• Migration of mail that is in databases not based on the standard Lotus
Domino mail template
• Modifications to the IMAP4 tool for IMAP4 mail systems that are
incompatible with the tool
