Year 7 Hairdressing WISP Eight students in Year 7 participated in the Evans River K-12 Hairdressing

WISP (Working in Schools Program) last term. The aim of the program was to

help students not only gain confidence but also give them the necessary skills

for when they go out into the workplace.

Two periods every Friday students learnt the basics of hairdressing such as

shampooing, blow drying, straightening, up styling and braiding.

At the end of the six week program, students were presented with a certificate

and a Joico gift pack including shampoo, conditioner and styling products. A

special thank you to The Backroom Hair and Body Beauty Suppliers in

Ballina for sponsoring and donating the products.

P&C Beechies Fundraiser Meeting There will be a planning meeting following the K-6

Assembly tomorrow for our upcoming Beechies

Fundraiser. Parents are invited to join us for a

cuppa and some planning discussion. This was an

excellent fundraiser for our school last year and

with the support of parents, we look forward to this

year being just as successful.

Past HSC Exam Papers – students can

access past HSC exams for all subjects

from previous years. Beside the exam papers

there are also marking guidelines and sample answers. This is an excellent

resource for all students sitting the HSC to gain valuable exam practice and to

compare their answers to those provided.

These are found from the drop menu HSC/ROSA and selecting “Past HSC

Exam Papers” or by clicking here.
