OBIEE stands for Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise edition
(Formerlyknown as siebel analytics).
When Oracle Corp. has acquired Siebel System and decided to make
siebelanalytics their flagship analytic engine and renamed it OBIEE
(OBIEE server +ETL engine+ Reporting).
The OBIEE product is coming with preconfigured ETL mappings and
DWschema available for Siebel CRM, Oracle E Business Suite
(Financials, HR etc.),JD Edwards, and SAP.
OBIEE is a complete Data Warehouse
technologyserver+application+ETL+report) where other reporting
tools like Business Object(BO) is reporting components only. Other
reporting tools BO, Cognos, IR, canalso access and deliver reports
that can be build based on OBIEE DW tables..
