YOUR COMPRESSED AIR QUALITY IS GUARANTEED

If compressed air is not dry before feeding into the pipelines, it results in a substantial

amount of condensation. This leads to problems in valves, pneumatic components and

eventually results in loss of production.

Since pressure dew point is one of the key parameters for quality compressed air,

it should be monitored constantly.

To ensure high quality production, our dew point monitoring devices measure

the quality of air within the dryer.

QUALITY MONITORING / 13

MEETING THE INCREASED REQUIREMENTS

Increased quality control in production processes forces manufacturers to monitor compressed air quality permanently in

accordance with the standards applied (DIN ISO 8573-1,FDA, GMP etc.) and principles for quality audits compressed air has to be evaluated whenever

it gets in touch with the product itself.

PRO air plays a pioneering role in this market of HACCP and is well prepared to offer the

required measuring technologies.

For online-monitoring as well as temporary analysis PRO air offers a large-scale portfolio to support

you in meeting the particular quality audit demands.

20 / LEAKAGE DETECTION LEAKGUARDPRO

BACKGROUND INFORMATION According to a study by the Fraunhofer Institute, the leakage detection in compressed air systems is adjudged to have the largest savings potential – which makes a

regular inspection with an ultrasound device advisable. Even leakages of altogether only 3 mm cross section spread over the complete network cost about 2.300,– €

per year.

MASS FLOW MEASUREMENT / 21

COST CONTROL AND ENERGY OPTIMIZATION

Compressed air is considered one of the most expensive energies. This would suggest to detect unnecessary consumption, or to assign costs to

the corresponding cost centers.

PRO air provides the perfect match for all applications.

Patented systems (as ball valves or kick-back guard) reduce fitting times on-site and allow sensor replacement under pressure.

PRO air mass flow meters offer an high degree of precision.

We achieve this accuracy by calibrating under pressure at an accredited calibration authority meeting the highest standards (ÖKD, Austrian Calibration Service). An certificate is included

to prove this high standard.

22 / MASS FLOW MEASUREMENT FGP SERIES

The inline-mass flow transmitter FGP MINI bases on thermal mass flow measurement and is suitable for pipe diameters DN 15 … DN 50.

The modular device is adaptable to any measuring task. With six different gauge mounting blocks and two transmitter units, it can be installed on all pipe diameters (DN 15 … DN 50).

The thermal measuring principle and the well proven hot-film sensor element lead to best long-term stability and fast response time.

Once the gauge mounting block is built into the pipeline, the transmitter can be installed and removed without disassembling the pipework!

24 / MASS FLOW MEASUREMENT FGP SERIES

The inline-flow meter FGP 1, FGP 2 or FGP 3 based on the measurement principle of thermal mass flow, is ideally suited for the measurement of flow in pipelines DN 15 (½”) up to DN 50 (2”).

All models are designed for monitoring for instance the usage of compressed air, nitrogen, CO2, O2, helium or other non-corrosive, non-flammable gases.

The unique mounting concept with a measurement valve with shut-off function permits rapid installation and removal of the device for periodical calibration. It simultaneously ensures high measurement accuracy through exact and reproducible positioning in the pipe.

The core design of the flow meter is based on the hot-film sensor element, which is produced using the most modern thin film technology. This flow sensor features excellent long-term stability, a fast response time and an extremely high degree of reliability.

TYPICAL APPLICATIONS

· compressed air consumption measurement

· compressed air counting

· flow measurement of technical gases (O2, N2, Ar, CO2, He)

· nitrogen generators

· leak detection

FGP SERIES MASS FLOW MEASUREMENT / 25

The FGP 4 flow meter is based on the thermal mass flow measurement and is ideal for measuring the flow of compressed air and gases in pipes from DN 50 (2”) to DN 700 (28”).

With the device, the consumption of compressed air, nitrogen, CO2 or other non-corrosive and nonflammable gases can be measured up to a pressure of 16 bar (232 PSI).

The FGP 4 sets new standards in terms of safety and easy assembly. The patented non-return protection combines three functions in one device: · non-return protection · seal · precise positioning

This flow meter has a modular design and consists of probes and evaluation electronics. The probe includes sensor and measuring electronics, in which the factory adjustment data is stored.

The evaluation electronics communicates digitally with the probe and can be located up to 10 m (32.8 ft) from the probe.
