batteries on 4/7/15 and 10 Sub Ohm (iSub) tanks and 5 iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro batteries on 5/4/15. The samples were relinquished by Innokin Technology Co., Ltd without chain of custody documentation. All samples were received at ambient temperature in good condition. Prior to, during, and after analysis, the samples were kept under lock with access only to authorized personnel by Enthalpy Analytical, Inc.

Study Summary The samples were submitted to test the chemical resistance of the German-made polycarbonate materials used in the iSub tank. The client wanted to demonstrate that the iSub tank would not crack or become discolored after use—specifically when used with acidic e-Liquids such as cinnamon and citrus flavors.

Sample Handling Enthalpy provided two e-liquid flavors for testing and one solution of 50% propylene glycol and 50% vegetable glycerin. Cinnamon and citrus flavors were chosen to test the chemical resistance of the polycarbonate materials used in the iSub tank while the 50:50 propylene glycol : vegetable glycerin sample was used as a control. The iSub tanks were each filled with one of the e-Liquids listed below.

Testing To generate the samples for the testing study, the iSub tanks were fully charged, filled with an e-Liquid, and then smoked on the SM450 20-port linear analytical smoking machine, “Buford” at both 30 and 20 watts using the iTaste MVP 3.0 and iTaste MVP 3.0 Pro batteries. The tanks were smoked for 25 puffs using a 55 mL/4 second square-wave puff profile once every 30 seconds. The samples were smoked according to the following chart per Enthalpy SOP ENT518.
