Analysis of results

The present TEST attempts to investigate the Students level and their application in

the language classroom.Moreover, the students are to face the tests in order to reveal the levelof their English language skills .The tasks are supposed to illustrate the Ss abilities.

To check the students knowledge I applied a great range of assessement exercises.

They can demonstrate what should be paid more attention to, should be worked on and

practised. Furthermore, the tests results will display the students weak points, and if carefully

guided by the teacher, the students will be even able to take any remedial actions. The test is

supposed to display not only the students weak points, but also their strong sides. It could act

as an indicator of progress the student is gradually making learning the language. Moreover,

we can cite the idea of Hughes (1989:5) who emphasises that we can check the progress,

general or specific knowledge of the students, etc.

The objectives of the diagnostic tes are:

An administrative objective might be to find out how well or poorly pupils areperforming in the English language;

Evaluative objectives which are usually linked to the question whether or not learnershave achieved the outcomes that pedagogical support was aiming for;

Pedagogical objectives are curriculum-driven and linked to individual learningprocesses, the goal being to promote the development of learners proficiency in the

English language

to improve these students academic progress;
