The Ingentis business rule trigger is an add-on for SAP SuccessFactors that facilitates daily routines through an automated process of quick distribution and mass processing of HR core data.The software enables the execution of business rules maintained in SAP SuccessFactors with the help of the push principle. Thanks to this
automated data update, manual efforts can be significantly reduced.
The Ingentis business rule trigger runs on SAP Business Technology Platform and is available as stand-alone solution or add-on to Ingentis org.manager.
Automated maintenance of HR core data
The Ingentis business rule trigger works with the business rules that have already been saved in SAP SuccessFactors. As a result, it’s not necessary to maintain the same rules twice in two different systems.
The software identifies newly created and edited objects and executes the “edit and save” action for all objects within a configurable evaluation path. This is how the SAP SuccessFactors busi-ness rules are triggered.

For example, if the employee Bernd Sander became the new head of the department HR Business Office, the update of the position structure would require manual action. The Ingentis business rule trigger on the other hand notices the change and triggers the child
objects to pull new or edited information, and the complete position structure is updated according to the business rules in SAP SuccessFactors, from top to bottom or across the hierarchy structure.
Automated structure updates and newly created structures
In addition, the Ingentis business rule trigger passes on value updates. Let’s say, the cost center of a department has been changed and all child departments and linked positions need to be updated with this new information. The software identifies edited objects, checks their history to see when the last change was made and if applicable executes the respective business rule within a configurable evaluation path. This allows you to initiate automated data updates throughout the company instead of having to manually adjust information or start a mass upload.
