INTRODUCTION ( TO THE REPOT):This report is based on information system of rescue 1122. For this report we collect data from the interview of the employees of this department and some information taken by the net. Rescue 1122 is a servicing department its not a trading business. They provide services to the general public free of cost and rescue from big losses. In this report we will read the organization history its vision and mission statement and its key objectives. We also discussed in it about the processes of recruitment, training, and tests conducted every year for the new and existing employees. We discuss the procedure according to this employee will b fired. It’s a very risk taking job and employee perform heavy duty to rescue the people but they are satisfied by this job to measure the satisfaction individual fill up the questionnaire by the employees. This questionnaire shows that employees are satisfied for this job. We will discuss about the current status of the department. We talk about the issues of information system. There are different type of software’s are used in this department but the main software which is control the calls of emergency is ECLS. This software is developed in Lahore shoaib software house and install in rescue 1122 department in Gujranwala. this software meet almost all the requirements of this department it installed before one year. Many other small software’s are used in this department explanation of all of these is disused in the report. Rescue 1122 department run a program with the name of GENERAL PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAME in this program they give training to the public to rescue others at the time of emergency. This training is given to the general public free of cost. Rescue 1122 provide his official website to give services to the people online like information etc. Face book page is also designed for the public to share the ideas about the services they know from general public about the services which they provide it is very healthy activity its easy way to interact with general public. In this report we discus the security issues on the software house security cam is used to watch the employees performance by the main head department in Lahore. This department plays a very important role in the securing of life and assets of the public. We pray for this department may he live long Ameen.

Background of the Organization:

HISTORY:IT IS a private department purely Government institute Rescue 1122 (The life saving force). 1122 is the number the reason behind choose this number because this is easy and simple to remember in emergency situation. China rescue number is 999, England 112 and America 911.Founder of Rescue 1122 is General director Dr.Rizwan Nasser. He gives the idea of it and it is established in 2004 in Lahore and its head office is also in Lahore city. It established in Gujranwala on 21st march 2008.37 stations are established in Punjab and 4 branches are in Gujranwala. Its finance source is government and only government because this is not a trading concern. people work round the clock in this department.Mission statement of the department is: Development of safer communities through establishment of an effective system for emergency preparedness, response and prevention..Vision:Safe communities where all citizens are provider the right to timely emergency response and care without discrimination.Key Objective:

1. provision of the right to timely emergency care by providing quality emergency services as per international standards.

2. Undertakes research to recommend evidence based measures to related organizations for prevention of emergencies.

3. Contribute towards establishment of socially responsible community emergency response team through awareness, enrollment, training and organizing volunteers for emergency preparedness, response and prevention.

Current status:In this department and people work round the clock. There are three shift running Morning 7:30am to 2:30pm, Evening 2:30pm to 9:30pm, night 9:30pm to 7:30am.340 people worked at this department. Golden time is first 10 minutes after call of emergency. For several years they recorded 6 minutes and 10 seconds. They rescued people from fire, flood, road accident downing and blast when there is any emergency they reached in 7 minutes at that place rescued people. This department has 123 emergency ambulances, 93

fire trucks, 22 rescue vehicles, 17 water bowers, 8 water rescue vehicles, 15 recovery vehicles, 8 aril platforms all these vehicles are used high technology equipment and machinery.

IS ISSUES:

ORGANIZATION STRATEGIES:

RECRUITMENT PROCESS:The key factor in the success of rescue 1122 has been the recruitment of right staff in the most transparent manners. After standardization of criteria by the human resource management committee constituted by the Punjab emergency council in accordance with the Punjab emergency service Act 2006. The service advertises posts in the leading National daily newspaper. The candidates have to go through a series of tests which include written, psychological, physical and skill tests.The selection is done by the recruitment/ selecting committee constituted by government of the Punjab consisting of senior departments. The final selection / appointment is subject to medical fitness, success completion of training and verification of educational documents.All these processes ensure that only the best candidate join the service. Up till now, 6112 emergency personal have been recruited.

TRAINING ON Modern Lines: New rescuers were recruited and trained to provide swift response, rescue and emergency medical treatment to the victims. The theoretical training and simulations and designed by Dr. Rizwan Naseer , project Director, Punjab Emergency service which have been internationally monitored by foreign trainers from Asian Disaster preparedness Center & instructors from Australia for quality assurance. Rescuers are also imparted specialized rescue and physical training to ensure their physical fitness and discipline.Different trainings are given to the rescuers :

Medical training Fire training Rescue training Water rescue trainings

Provide services:This department provides services to the general public all the rescuer work round the clock in this department and ready all the time to provide its services to the people. They provide quick services at the time of emergency there are some types of emergencies mentioned bellow.

Fire emergency Medical emergency Crime emergency Road accident emergency Drowning cases Explosions Cylinder blast Building collapses etc.

GENERAL PUBLIC AWARENESS PROGRAME:This program is designed for the general public. In this program 2 day classis are arranged and 3 hour lecture in one day. During these two days experts give training to the general public which become effective first responders in the hour of emergency or disaster. This training is free of cost just for the awareness and life saving program.ORGANIZATION DATABASE:Department used data base that helps the director general to check the current status of the employees. All information is far away on the one click. He is able to check the employee salary record and the employee efficiency by the use of data base. ORGANIZATION NETWORKS:Organization currently adopt the ECLS software to manage the whole activities in control room. Organization use lan networking in the departments to communicate with each others. In the vehicles they used modern technologies to rescue the people at the time and provide the services to the public. CPR (cardio preliminary resutation) technology used in the vehicle to rescue the people.Initially hard ware dependent on Apache modem and then it exchange with voice tracker card which is placed outside the server.GPRS tracking system with street level map has been installed for effective monitoring and fleet management.LAN: local area network is used within the organization to communicate with all the departments of the organization.

WAN: Is a wide area network that is also used by the rescue 1122 department. This department is connected through WAN by the main department which is loccated in Lahore.

SOFTWARES:used ELS software(emergency logging system) this is made by the software house This software is updated in 2009 from the software house in Lahore and now its name is ECLS.First software create some problems to achieve the organization goals. Operators can hang out the system and make all the lines busy and feel free from his duty. The other problem in this software is: he throw all calls on first 2 pc’s and last two lines are free most the time. Then they updated this software which solve all these problems. It divided all calls equally on all lines and the controller could not hang out the system. All they perform their duties efficiently and organization meet their goals through this software.Organization currently adopt the ECLS software to manage the whole activities in control room. WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM:Through this system, control room exchanges necessary information and guidelines with the emergency vehicles and sub stations regarding emergencies.

OTHER SOFTWARES:A comprehensive call monitoring software has been designed for receiving emergency calls at emergency number 1122. This software contains caller detail, emergency details, history, reporting and blockage system for unwanted/ obnoxious calls. This software is also helpful evaluate the performance of call operator to ensure quality and efficiency of the service.

SECURITY AND PRIVECY ISSUES:On-line IP based cameras have been installed in all district control rooms and rescue stations for live monitoring and performance efficiency to ensure the proper check and balance system of the service delivery the system has the capability of two way communication through VoIP for direct audio visual connect in WAN protocol.
