Close date for feedback is 5pm Wednesday, 6 July 2016. Background The site at Barracks Road, Hope Valley is one of four properties within the City of Tea Tree Gully that Scouts SA runs their groups and programs from. These groups cater for over 400 youth members in the Tea Tree Gully council area, with around 50 volunteer leaders helping to educate local young people through a value system based on the Scout Law and Promise. Scouts SA aims to help children and young people achieve their full potential in life. This is done through individualised, fun, adventurous, challenging, leadership and teamwork-oriented programs. The Scouting Program, delivered by thousands of volunteers across the nation, prepares around 60,000 male and female members aged between 6 to 26 years for business and community leadership. Their programs are regularly reviewed and the delivery is constantly changing to meet the needs and expectations of the youth of today. If this request is approved, it will mean that Scouts SA Hope Valley will be granted a 10 year lease providing them with exclusive use of this site, comprising two buildings of approximately 240m 2 in total and two sheds of approximately 40m 2 in total.
