• Why would an SP deploy a VoIP solution? Wouldn’t it cannibalise their core revenues of SMS and Voice?

As SP’s move towards more unmetered voice and SMS plans, this kind of solutions helps drive Customer loyalty for the SP’s and up data usage (which are now becoming become metered plans.)

• How quickly could an SP deploy the solution? Can they brand it?The Cloud based nature of the solution means that it can be deployed quickly and efficiently in less than 5 months. It can be branded for an SP.

• How does this solution differ from the likes of Skype?The Amdocs UC solution is based purely on telephony standards and is not ‘a walled garden’ this can allow for syndicated interoperability between MNO’s and also the interoperability of future standards such as RCS. It’s a future proof solution.

• Does the application only work on smartphones?The solution works not only across smartphones but also across tablets and also as a web portal. The application can work across sim based and sim -less smartphones and tablets.

• As a user can I only call other users of the solution?The Amdocs Unified Communications Solution allows you to call VoIP to VoIP to the other users, it also allows you to call VoIP to PSTN and PSTN to PSTN via it’s telephony dialler.
