Time Commitment Practices are important to the success of our teams. Texas Elite is an organized program and we realize many athletes are involved in a variety of activities; however, we cannot make exceptions for every schedule conflict. We expect top priority and 100% commitment. We are able to keep extra practices to a minimal because our practices are productive and mandatory. The following dates are available for holidays and vacations throughout the 2020-2021 year. May-23rd-25th (Memorial Day Weekend)

June- 28th- July 5th (Fourth of July Week) August – 24th-30th (Summer Break) September- 4th-7th (Labor Day Weekend) October 31st- (Halloween) November-22nd -November 29th (Thanksgiving Holiday) December-20th- January 3rd (Christmas, Hanukah and New Years) March- 7th-14th -(Spring Break) **Make sure you are back in town after a holiday break for your teams practice. **

Summer Absence Policy Students are allowed up to 5 absences for family vacations during the months of May-September 2nd. These absences may be in conjunction with any of the above listed summer breaks. Please plan accordingly. If you have issues with custody or other court order visitations, please see a coach in order to figure out a plan. Additional missed practices will jeopardize an athlete’s placement on their respective teams.

Absence Policy The only excused absence is a school function that results in a grade. All other absences are unexcused. Part-time jobs, dances, concerts, banquets, long distance driving, family reunions, weddings, recitals, school/church socials, and any other non-related school activities are unexcused. Absences are NOT allowed the weekend and week prior to ANY competition. Athletes with unexcused absences may be moved to an alternate position or pulled from an upcoming performance at the discretion of the coaches.

Team Mom’s and Communication Most communication is sent in monthly notes, calendars, Facebook, website, and e-mails. Teams will have a designated team representative responsible for relaying information to the parents and members of each team. Parents with questions or team related problems should first address them with the head coach and team “moms” before contacting the gym directly. Team “moms” are a quick direct source for information 99% of the time! Team “moms” will also be assisting with teams at competitions and working closely with the staff.

Team Skill Requirements Each team will have a specific requirement set forth at the first practice. If you do not have this skill at try outs you must be serious about getting it. There will be an appointed deadline for the requirement. Anyone not achieving this requirement could be moved to a non-competing spot or moved to a different team. Absolutely NO REFUNDS will be issued. A member must always be a strong representative of Texas Elite and a positive reflection of their teammates. Check List for Team Sign Up

Please submit all completed forms in order to sign up!

____ Texas Elite Team Application ___ General Information Contract ___ Credit/ Debit Authorization Form ___ Athlete Release Form and Pain Reliever Consent All Forms must be completed in order to be considered for a team for the 2020-2021 season. All athletes will be evaluated on individual skills as well as their basing/flying ability. Our squad placements are NOT stressful! We will evaluate individually or in groups and always encourage athletes to re-do their skills if they are not 100% satisfied with their performance. The selection of teams is a very tedious and complicated process. There are numerous key elements considered in our decisions. We must choose a well-rounded and competitive set of athletes for each team! Squad sign ups/try outs will be closed to parents. Athletes and parents will be notified with the results and will have a MANDATORY team PARENT meeting once teams or groups are selected.
