Kinetica Arts began life as Kinetica Dance Engine and was
created in 2011 from a mutual passion for and desire to dance and
develop skills and knowledge within the local community. Through
the Dancing for the Games project (2012) - managed by Dance
Connected, the company expanded and was able to produce our first
piece of repertoire Sync or Swim, choreographed by Julia Griffin
and performed at Stafford Castle. No performance art form works in
isolation and we have since attracted a number of specialists in
other performance areas. Our company now encompasses a range of
professional dance and theatre arts practitioners who offer
integrated workshops and support for: Physical Theatre, Direction,
Set Design, Technical Theatre, Acting, Storytelling and Small-Scale
Performance. We have successfully worked in partnership with both
local and national organisations to deliver and manage high quality
arts projects and provision, securing funding from numerous sources
including Arts Council England and Staffordshire County Council.
Kinetica now operate from a permanent studio space at the
Venue@tean and are in the process of producing new repertoire
whilst developing links with educational establishments, corporate
organisations the wider community. We are also delighted to offer
accredited performance arts training for children and young people
through Trinity College London and The British Ballet Organisation
via our partner organisation Fusion Performance Arts.
