Copyright Issues- Good to Know!Even when a student with a disability requires an alternate format of print based materials as determined by an ARD/504 committee, the district is required to follow copyright laws in acquiring and providing those materials.

The school district utilizes a variety of sources to acquire copyrighted digital materials for students, depending on whether the students disability is recognized as a print disability which exempts him/her from copyright protection, provided by law, to publishers.
