The NSPCC have created a fabulous guide to social media as part of their ‘Share Aware’ campaign for online safety. The website has a parents’ guide as well as access to

information about over 50 social media sites and apps. This is accessed through visiting the NSPCC web site: www.nspcc.org.uk, then following the Preventing Abuse

and ‘Be Share Aware’ buttons. Each icon can then be expanded, as below right, to give specific information on the content and appropriateness of the app. It also

includes views from parents and students through their recent research.

This is a very useful resource; please take time to explore it with your son / daughter.
