Basic Search Tips
• Use double quotation marks (“ “) around phrases to ensure they are searched exactly as is, with the words side by side in the same order.
i.e : “sekolah pelita harapan”, “banana split” • Use the plus (+) and minus (-) signs in front of the words
to force their inclusion and/or exclusion in searches. i.e : fruit –banana, hotel +bali “summer school” +usa
• Check the domain of the website : .org, .edu, .net , these domains mostly belong to institutions.
• Find topic from certain domain (google tips) i.e : cancer site:.org

Citation Styles
• There are “exact” quotations, and “paraphrasing.”
– “Exact” = just that. Not a SINGLE thing has been changed, using in-text referencing
– “Paraphrase” = you took their idea, and put it in your own words.
• Put Works Cited at the end of the report
