10.0.6.0 Product Changes and Feature Enhancements
Feature Support for encryption during installationDescription Infor has improved the security of configuration data by encrypting any passwords and
other sensitive information managed by the installation program. An important consequence of this change is that the user performing an installation (or subsequent update or patch) must define and remember a passkey.
The configuration protection passkey must be provided when requested by the installation program so that secure data can be encrypted and decrypted as required.
After the passkey is created, remember it. You will need it to maintain the product through subsequent patches or updates.
If the passkey is lost or needs to be changed, for example, because of the possibility that it has been compromised, you can define a new one. You will need to know all other passwords in the install.cfg file in order to re-encrypt them with the new encryption key.
Impact The passkey and instructions for changing and resetting should be shared only with trusted employees.

Feature Verify that WebSphere inbound and outbound settings are set to “SSL-supported” in Global Security
Description Infor Lawson requires the WebSphere 8.x inbound and outbound communication transport setting to be configured as “SSL-supported.” This setting prevents failure of Infor Lawson service calls.
In previous releases, WebSphere delivered the “SSL-supported” setting by default. In WebSphere 8.x, IBM changed the default.
Before users begin running on WAS 8.x / LSF, verify this setting on the WebSphereAdministration console and change to “SSL-supported” if necessary. There are two places where this setting must be changed.

Feature Jobs and Reports new features and enhancements Description The following enhancements have been made to Infor Lawson Jobs and Reports:
The Job Scheduler has been enhanced to prevent queue hogging. Queue hogging is the situation where a user submits several jobs in quick succession such that when others submit jobs, their jobs are placed farther down on the queue and are not processed in a timely manner. Now, if you turn off queue hogging, when the first user’s first job is finished, the Job Schedule will check for a job from a different user and process that one, before returning to process more jobs from the user who had a series of jobs at the top of the queue.
The default job queue functionality has been enhanced to allow the setting of a default job queue at levels smaller than a system code. You can set the default job queue for program prefixes and for specific programs. The ability to set the default job queue for a program prefix allows you, for example, to set a default job queue for all report programs that start with RW. Previously, to set a default queue for RW programs, you could only set it at the higher level of the system code that RW belongs to.

Feature Support for WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment 8.5
Description Lawson System Foundation 10.0.3.0 and higher support WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment 8.5. If you are currently using WebSphere Application Server 7.0, you can migrate to version 8.5 before installing Lawson System Foundation 10.0.3.0 as a service pack.
You must migrate all nodes and application servers in your LSF configuration to WebSphere ND 8.5. It is technically possible to have a mixed configuration of 7.0 and 8.5 application servers managed by an 8.5 Deployment Manager. However, Infor does not support this scenario.
If you are using WebSphere ND 8.5, you also have the option to install Java SDK 1.7.and follow instructions in this document to change the JAVA_HOME, LAW_JAVA_HOME, and LAW_JAVA_BIN values in your environment. See “Support for Java 1.7” in this document.
Impact There are two ways to migrate to WebSphere 8.5:
Install WebSphere 8.5 and use the migration utility provided by IBM to migrate your WebSphere 7.0 configuration to 8.5. This option preserves the Lawson configuration data that was set up when the previous version of WebSphere was installed. After you install Infor Lawson Core Technology 10.0.3.0, you will deploy the Lawson .ear files into the WebSphere 8.5 application server.
For more information on IBM migration utilities, see the IBM WebSphere Application Server Network Deployment 8.5 Information Center:
http://publib.boulder.ibm.com/infocenter/wasinfo/v8r5/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.websphere.migration.nd.doc%2Fae%2Fwelcome_migrating.html
Install WebSphere 8.5 as a new instance, and re-do all of the Lawson configuration plus any other configuration changes you made. After you install Infor Lawson Core Technology 10.0.3.0, you will deploy the Lawson .ear files into the WebSphere 8.5 application server.
If you install WebSphere ND 8.5 as a new instance and re-do your configuration, check your WebSphere ND 7.0 system for the following configuration changes. You will need to repeat these in the new 8.5 system.

ION Enterprise Search SupportFeature Support for ION Enterprise Search incremental crawls
Description The System Foundation “ctmaint” utility, delivered with release 10.0.3.0, enables a timestamp to be added to database tables. You can use this feature to run Enterprise Search crawls that update only data that has changed since your last crawl. This feature can make crawls run much faster, particularly those accessing large tables.
If a table has been enabled for incremental searches through the ctmaint utility, the “Incremental” flag will be available for selection when you schedule a crawl.
Impact Incremental crawls require the following versions:
IES: Version 10.0.4.0 and higher LSF: Version 10.0.3.0 and higher
Configuration is required to enable incremental crawls. Following is a high-level description of the steps:
The database table(s) that you want to run as incremental must be configured in ctmaint. This change requires the blddbdict, dbreorg, cobcmp sequence in order to take effect.
The index definition file(s) must be updated to include the “incrementable = “true”” parameter.
On the IES side, you must:o Load the updated index definition(s)o Perform a full crawl on the index(es) that you want to make
available to run as incremental. (The full crawl is a one-time only step. The index will be available for selection as incremental after this configuration.)

Feature Changes to Environment Groups
Description If you are moving from Lawson System Foundation 9.0.x and have previously used the Environment group functionality, please note the following changes:
For administrators who work in LID, the Environment groups function as they did in Lawson System Foundation 9.0.x.
For users who relied on user groups to control which user records they had access to, security rules will now need to be set up in Lawson Security on the UserName element and, optionally, Resource Management groups.
For users who relied on job queue groups and printer groups to control which of those they had access to, security rules will now need to be set up in Lawson Security on individual printers and job queues.
For users who relied on distribution groups and distribution list groups to control who reports could be distributed to, there is no replacement in S3 for Workspace. In S3 for Workspace, a user can select any distribution group defined on the system rather than being limited to those in the distribution list group assigned to the user.
