Current levels of knowledge around data security need to improve as more cloud services are adopted:

Half of IT professionals aren’t familiar with the nuts and bolts of cloud services, and don’t intend to learn them.

Whilst it’s a myth that cloud services will replace in-house IT teams, businesses must supplement existing resources with new skillsets to remain competitive
Cloud computing doesn’t have to be a core competency, but even a rudimentary understanding of key concepts will increase the value derived from it
Cloud-literate employees can be usefully refocused to bring fresh ideas to existing internal projects
