Elation Professional introduces the Design Spot LED Pro, a high-output DMX-compatible LED moving head with a very even beam fi eld and all of the features required by designers today. Although compact and very affordable the Design Spot LED is incredibly bright, powered by a 200watt LED light source. It features 8 dichroic colours plus white and 2 gobo wheels (14 gobos in total). Variable frost control allows the fi xture to be used as a profi le and wash with an adjustable iris, 3 facet prism and auto focus also available.

With the advantages of low energy consumption, low maintenance, improved robustness and faster switching, LED displays are now used in a variety of applications. They are used anywhere from rock concerts and sports stadiums through to decorative displays used to tantalise consumers. These thin, lightweight LED screens are now seen at airports, retail outlets and now employed by venues wanting to give patrons a ‘big screen’ viewing experience. Indoor screens are generally viewed from a closer distance so pixel pitch starts at 4mm (which equates to a 4 meter viewing distance) all the way up to 20mm (which generally equates to a viewing distance of greater than 20m).

Tri colour LEDs are used to make the picture smooth with high resolution. A wide variety of signal is accepted from TV signal through to multi format video, RGB and brightness and contrast can be controlled to match the screen output to the environment. Custom-made cabinets can be manufactured to house the screens with specifi c mounting points incorporated.

Very Wide Viewing AngleIndustry Gears screens have a minimum horizontal viewing angle of 130° meaning they can be clearly seen from almost side on with little loss of clarity.

Pixel Pitch - A Rule of ThumbPixel pitch is used to determine the distance we wish to view the screen from to get a defi ned picture. As a general rule of thumb every metre we are from the screen equates to 1mm of pixel pitch. For example, if a screen is at the back of a stage 20m deep, the minimum pixel pitch would be 20mm. However as most of the audience would be further back than 20m you would be better off to aquire a screen with a larger pitch, which is more suitable and economical.

Light Emotion presents their outdoor, full colour LED screens. These incredibly bright screens remain visible in sunlight and have a viewing angle of 110 degrees. Its low power consumption and extremely long ‘lamp’ life also provides great value. A variety of vibrant colours is available including pure white, amber white or the more popular RGB version, allowing for many different colour mixing options.

The tape is waterproof (IP68) meaning the tape can be submerged and installed underwater in say a swimming pool, or take the rough treatment handed out in a bar or club environment. There are two different brightnesses with either 30 or 60 LEDs per metre.

Applications include restaurants, club & bar lighting, corporate applications and residential strip lighting. The LED tape can be mounted easily by simply peeling off the 3M backing or for more permanent installations it can be physically glued to the mounting surface. It even runs around corners and curved surfaces making it an attractive ambient light source with easy installation and control. A fantastic effect can be achieved by framing a venue or club with coloured light around the edges of the stage, dance fl oor, roof, steps, entranceways, under lighting or around pelmets...just about anywhere you can think of!

The controller has up to 20 different effects and chase patterns including rate of speed and fl ash, that is sure to spark some movement and colour into your space. And being DMX means that the LED tape can be operated and easily interfaced with other DMX controlled fi xtures to create a pleasant and harmonious environment.

The XCOLORLED is a versatile and compact spot-light bringing you a world of possibilities in colour projection. Big circles of vibrant primary colour are able to bathe a performer or stage area and cut straight through ambient lighting even when fog use is limited. There’s very little heat generated and no duty cycles so the fi xture can run all night long. A four button menu system with LED display makes the XCOLORLED easy to navigate especially when working in low light. Applications include shining on larger sized mirrorballs for a superior centerpiece effect, hang from truss to provide colourful spotlights for members of a stage troupe, set in strobe function in time with the bass drum for a pulsing effect for a DJ gig, or run sound active behind a drummer for some moody back-lighting of a rock band.

Elation Professional’s ART-1024 touch-sensitive, DMX wall-mount controller is an advanced and affordable architectural lighting control solution. The ART-1024 lets users run all of a building’s DMX fi xtures and different lighting zones from one compact keypad unit. The ART-1024 comes with its own proprietary software to program shows and scenes from a PC. Then, once lighting programs have been created, they can be uploaded and triggered on the ART-1024’s convenient touch-sensitive keypad.

Designed as a single-controller solution for all types of DMX lighting, the ART-1024’s programming software includes built-in effects for multi-categories of fi xtures: LEDs, moving lights and dimmers. It features two DMX universes, providing the capacity to control a total of 1,024 channels. The AR-32RM is a 512 channel DMX recorder and playback system for architectural lighting applications.
