Aim : The main aim is to go beyond academics in all possible ways; also it was focused to make students

aware about how various activities related to planning, procurement, inventory management,

marketing, financing and human resource are carried out in company and organizing an

Interactive session with the officials of various departments.

Description :

Dr. Moonje Institute of Management & Computer Studies, Nashik organizes various Extra-

curricular activities for student’s development as well as to learn the Theoretical Managerial

Concepts with Practical Aspects. As a part of this, an industrial visit has been organized to Parle

Biscuits Private Limited, Gonde, Igatpuri.

Parle Biscuits Private Limited is manufacturing a wide range of biscuits – Parle-G, Monaco & Krack

Jack as well as other confectionery products like wafers, Fulltos, Namkeen etc. “Parle factory looks

like factory family.” At present, more than 1200 workers are working in a Parle family. It has also

factories in Bahadurgarh, Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat,

Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu.

As we reached company we were guided by Ms. Nandini- Head, Admin; where we have seen a

small but informative documentary film on Parle industry. Then plant tour to all the departments

was scheduled with primary attention on manufacturing unit. Students got the knowledge of

manufacturing and packaging in real sense.

Further, we moved for the Interactive session with the officials such as Mr. Amit Sikarwar(Sr.

Officer –Production) & Mr. Shantaram Kajale (Deputy Manager- HR); during the session our

students & faculty members were actively participated and asked many questions to clear the

concepts. Students also got additional information about recruitment, waste management and CSR

policies of the company

Overall it was an informative and knowledgeable session.

We faculty members along with students would like to extend our gratitude to the officials of Parle

Biscuits Private Limited for gave us the permission and support to make our visit a success with

accomplishment of objective and our Director Dr. Ashok Agrawal for allow us to arrange this visit

for holistic development of our students.
