Case Study: Global Beverage Alcohol Leader
Global leader in beverage alcohol with iconic bands in spirits,
beers and wines, located in Dublin 8, Ireland.
Drain system serving the production facility with pipe sizes
ranging from 100mm (4”) to 225mm (9”) diameter.
The drain system suffered multiple blockages, circumferential
fractures, open joints, leaks, and collapsed and broken pipe
sections.
Only alternative solution for the customer would have been to
dig up and replace the entire system.
Our skilled technicians were able to rehabilitate the failing drain
system using our unique pull-in-place technology, and did so
without disrupting daily operations in the plant.
Case Study: Ballylumford Power Station
Ballylumford power station is a natural gas-fired
power station in Co. Antrim, Northern Ireland.
Owned by AES Bord Na Mona, it is Northern
Ireland’s largest power station.
355mm (14”) fire suppuration system.
Significant underground section of the system was
leaking.
Nu Flow successfully rehabilitated the pipeline
without causing any disruption or damage to the
busy power station.
Case Study: Coca Cola Bottling Plants
Two Coca Cola bottling plants – New York and
Texas.
Cast iron floor drains were badly corroded due to
high temperatures and syrup passing through them.
A pipe replacement would have required equipment
to be removed and the factory to close as a result.
Nu Flow’s high heat and corrosion resistant epoxy
was installed to solve the problem.
No disruptive excavations or down time were
necessary and the plant’s normal operations were
able to continue as a result.
Case Study: Nestle Factory
Nestle Factory in Trenton, Canada.
Over 30m (100ft) of damaged 150mm (6”) cast iron
pipe encased in concrete.
Included two 45° bends and one “Y” connection.
Equipment removal, plant closure, and disruptive
excavations would have been required if the client
had chosen to replace the pipeline instead of renew it.
Nu Flow successfully rehabilitated the damaged
pipeline and operations remained as normal
throughout the factory.
Case Study: GM Technology Facility
GM tech facility, Michigan.
30m (100ft) of damaged 200mm (8”) sanitary pipeline.
Included two lateral connections.
Nu Flow successfully rehabilitated the damaged pipeline
without causing any disruption or down time to the facility.
Case Study: Eastman Chemical Plant
Chemical plant in Tennessee
Client wanted to recommission and old abandoned pipe.
200mm (8”) steel pipe over a mile in length.
Cleaning of the pipe alone did not remove all traces of the
poisonous chemical that previously flowed through it.
A multi-million dollar, messy and inconvenient pipe
replacement was the only other alternative for the customer.
Nu Flow successfully rehabilitated the pipe using the ‘Nu-
Line’ blown-in epoxy coating.
Future corrosion and leaching of chemicals were prevented
and a long term solution was applied.
