COMPRESSORS
RIX INDUSTRIES
RIX Industries has been manufacturingcompressors in the San Francisco BayArea since 1878 when Mr. E. A.Rix began replacing steamequipment with RIXcompressed air machin-ery in the Californiagold mines. As a youngengineering graduate ofthe University ofCalifornia, he obtainedmany patents on air andgas machinery andthis tradition of lead-ership in the designand manufacture ofhigh technologycompression equipment hascontinued at RIX for well over a century.
Today, RIX is known world-wide for its expertisein engineering and manufacturing reliable, mid tohigh pressure, continuous duty air and gas compressor systems. RIX manufactures non-lubricated (oil free) units in single through five-stage designs in sizes up to 500 horsepower.Discharge pressures can be up to 10,000 psi.
In addition to our standard packages, RIX alsoregularly supplies compressors that are custom-builtto meet specific performance and equipment needs.
A wide selection of time-proven crankcasesand compression cylindersallows us to manufacturesystems for almost any gas compressionapplication. RIX uses the latest incontrols technology andemploys the most currentmanufacturing technol-ogies and materials.
Typical users of RIXcompressors includerefineries, chemicalplants, oxygen pro-
duction plants (VPSA’sand PSA’s), industrial gas
facilities and food processingplants, as well as utilities and
governmental organizations like NASA and the U.S.Navy. Many applications require compressors built to rigorous customer specifications, from majorindustrial gas companies, engineering firms, API /ASME / CGA, international safety codes, and U.S.Mil-Spec.
We look forward to discussing your particular gascompression needs and to demonstrating how RIX can provide reliable, cost-effective solutions.
