Citation preview
Industrial Automation It is given to acquaint the students with automated manufacturing using hydraulic, pneumatic & PLC.Objective: -Introduction to automated systems, fluid logic application pneumatic and hydraulic logic circuits an equipment / component: Fluid logic circuits, PLC hardware/PLC systems, ladder and function block programming methods, internal relays, timers, counters & shift registers, programming
controller configuration. After the completion of the training the student will have the following attributes:
Knowledge
Understand the design structure and construction of an automated system Familiarize on measurement and control systems in industrial automation Identify the various actuation devices used in automated systems: pneumatic,
hydraulic, PLC systems Familiarization on control valves, cylinders and actuators. Identify basic steps in real time interfacing and its peripheral devices Demonstrate the knowledge in PLC applications Know the PLC applications in different type of automated system.
Intellectual and practical skills
Design and perform simulation of different types of pneumatic, hydraulic, PLC systems
Perform and test PLC system interface for practical and industrial applications.
Attitude and behavior
Appreciate the role of industrial automation application Develop team work sprit
