Adventure Wall Indoor Climbing Walls specialise in offering a unique range of perfectly suited adventure climbing courses from the novice right up to competitionstandards ofperformancecoaching. We are Government Licensed by AALA Adventure Activity

Licensing Authority as a provider of adventure activities for children and adults under the Young Persons Safety Act 1995 Regulations 2004. We carry Products/Civil Liability Insurance Cover for £5m and Employer’s Liability Cover at £10m.

We use NGB National Governing Body Qualified Staff, CRB checked and first aid trained. All our operational activities carry SOP Risk Assessments and Child & Vulnerable Persons Policies. We are highly accredited by our associations, governing and training bodies with 15yrs operational experience.

We are now an umbrella body provider of NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme) through our Primary Centre.

This means we can deliver levels 1-5 of the award schemes to everyone, mainly under 18s, schools, youth services, colleges,

individuals and adults as well. We can train, coach access and certificate climbers of all ages

and abilities.

Ages 18+, Min costs applyA fun challenging indoor climbing, abseiling and bouldering experience aimed at the total beginner or novice covering basic rope work and safety skills that are necessary to perform competently indoors, min two hrs. Plenty of fun, excitement and enjoyable activity for everyone.

Ages 18+, Min costs applyThe next stage up from the indoor experience, where specific skills are learned and practised with coaching workshops and indepth knowledge on our sport and safety issues are covered.This is the course aimed at those who want to eventually climb independently unsupervised indoors. Min two hrs and at least four visits are required to learn all the foundation skills and be signed off.

Ages 18+, Min costs applyThis course is the stepping stone between the intro and advanced rock course. It delivers a tailor made approach designed to enhance and develop your previous skill level, allowing natural progression to the next level.“A brilliant course”

Ages 18+, Min costs applyThis course is for people who have climbed before and are proficient and safe who want to learn more advanced rope skills and further their knowledge of the rescue and teaching techniques needed to progress onto bigger challenges indoors. Min two hrs and two sessions are required here.

Ages 18+, Min costs applyAn intense course aimed at people who are sound climbers

already and require enhanced guidance and training techniques needed to push to the next

grades indoors, either leading or bouldering related. All areas of skill acquisition and

performance coaching will be covered with practical workshops with the

instructor demonstrating and leading the course throughout. Min two

hrs and several lessons may be needed here.

We now offer a very unique service were we can book a climbing expert or national champion to offer a master class workshop. A perfect gift as a birthday present or as part of a skills course.

Ages 18+, Min costs applyThese courses are fast track, crash

courses or refresher style sessions. Charged at higher costs, they are designed at a faster, more pragmatic learning approach. A detailed and high skill value session will be provided to help build a climbers safety and performance. “An exceptional level of excellence”

Ages 18+, Min costs applyA tailor made programme of tuition focusing on training and personal performance coaching needed to tackle higher grades of sport climbs indoors. A fun fitness course were the instructor will climb with you to demonstrate the all important skills for success. Min of two hrs and four sessions required to benefit.

Ages 18+ Min costs applyA programme of leading sessions aimed at good rock/wall climbers who seek that bit more adventure and coaching on effective leading skills indoors. A small ratio is needed here either 1:2 or 1:4. A challenging course with great rewards at the end.

Kids Climbing Awards Accreditation -NICASWe are proud to advertise that we are an umbrella

body NICAS National Indoor Climbing Achievement Scheme provider

through our primary centre. This means we can teach,

mentor and assess children ages 8 yrs+ in indoor rock climbing

awards levels 1-5 either as part of a term time school lesson like PE or through the youth

service.

The levels 1-3 are briefly outlined below:

Level 1 Foundation Climber Award:

This award is the introduction to climbing it’s a basic award covering climbing, abseiling down, belaying under supervision, safety skills, good practice, helmet fitting, devices, knots, harness fitting, basic climbing moves, and coaching. A perfect educational activity award for beginners to experience our sport. Certification is included and logbooks are provided with candidates registered into the national scheme by us.

Level 2 Top Rope Climber Award:

This award builds on the previous level 1 and focus on knowledge, efficient safety skills, performance, better skill levels, safer belaying, holding falls, using different belay devices, route selection, techniques used. This award is concerned with sound practice and instilling better safety skills. Certification is included with logbooks.

Level 3 Technical Climber Award:

This difficult and more detailed award is concerned with perfection in all areas of previously experienced

climbing it brings together every aspect and the candidate must be

perfect to pass this level. This level requires very much indepth details on everything in all three levels.

Level 4 Lead Climber & Level 5 Advanced Climber

These levels require a very long period of time to complete and are considered GCSE & A’Level standard of awards they are accessible to students but through their own motivation and over a few years of climbing.

These awards are the most successful indoor climbing awards in the country we deliver hundreds each year.
