The French En- lightenment drew heavily on his ideas, and he was viewed as one of the prophets of the American and French revolutions. Widely known as the father of classical liberalism, his contributions to classical republicanism and liberal theory are reflected in the United States Declaration of Independence. A Portrayal of Moses

This lecture will discuss the Supreme Court since the beginning of Justice John Roberts’ tenure as Chief Justice. The background and political makeup of the Court will also be presented. The lecture will include discussion of notable de-

scent decisions and a revisiting of the Obama Care Decision. Attention will also be given to significant pending cases including the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA), California Proposition 8 (Ban on Same Sex Marriage), and the Voting Rights Act and Voter Regis-tration Laws.

Moses is the prophet who tran-scends the faiths of the Middle East. He is the most important

prophet of Judaism and is also considered a very important prophet in Christianity, Is-lam, and a number of other faiths.

Peter Small portrays Moses and a number of other historical figures. His portrayals grew out of his love of history while he taught history in the greater Los Angeles

When the Hotel Del opened in 1888, it was the larg-est resort hotel in the world. It has hosted presi-dents, royalty, and celebrities through the years

and has been featured in numerous movies and books. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1977.
