IITK‐NUS Joint Doctoral Degree Programme
• The JDP is a joint research programme leading to the award of a PhD. Joint Degree Students will be registered with both NUS and IITK.
• Expected intake into the JDP will be approximately three (3) to five (5) students from each Party.
• The Joint Degree Student will pay tuition fees to their respective Home Institution, even while they are undertaking courses at the Host Institution.
• A one‐time subsidy up to $500 will be provided by the home university towards airfare to their Joint Degree Students to facilitate their travel to and from the respective Host Institution.

Melbourne India Post Graduate Programme (MIPP)The programme is designed for potential/current Ph. D. Students to be executed in the following modes:
• Mode I: 1. Those who have/are graduated/graduating from IIT Kanpur can apply for a Ph.
D. position at the University of Melbourne.2. Living stipend of AUD 25,600 + full tuition waiver of AUD 34,000= AUD 59,600
per annum3. Scholarship is initially for 3 years extendible for further 6 months.
• Mode II: 1. This mode is for students doing Ph. D. at IITK. S/he will be guided by supervisors
from both Universities. 2. A one‐time Airfare will be provided for IITK Ph.D. students visiting University of
Melbourne. Funds permitting, IITK student will be supported by her/his Co‐supervisor at University of Melbourne.
