Placement Report
CDPO, IIM Calcutta is pleased to present its report on Final Placement Process for
the 55th batch. The Class of 2020 brought in diversity in gender and educational
background. The process saw participation of 148 recruiters for a batch of 444
students till March 5, 2020. The institute is committed to find good opportunities
for 3 students still in the process. The class was placed across various sectors
including Consulting (31%), Sales and Marketing (16%), Finance (15%), General
Management & Operations (19%) and Product Management & IT Analytics
(19%). The numbers are a testimony to the trust and expectations of the recruiters
from IIM Calcutta of its great legacy and academic excellence year after year.
In a constant endeavour to provide better opportunities to the students and to the
recruiters, IIM Calcutta introduced ‘Dream’ and ‘Wait & Hold’ policy for the
batch. Students had the opportunity to hold their offers and apply for other firms
in the slot. As we understand about change, the journey shall continue and IIM
Calcutta is in the process of implementing more changes in this direction from the
Summers of 2020. CDPO remains committed to refine the processes further to
deliver on student and recruiter expectations.
