The wonder Doctor
A patient was discharged from a well-known hospital, as the doctors
considered his throat-cancer to be incurable. He was in such great
pain that he had to take pain-killers thrice a day. He was then taken
to a renowned Acupressurist in Mumbai and treatment commenced.
Within 5 days, he could do without any pain-killers and within 45
days, his cancer was cured, much to the surprise of the doctors.
This is just one instance of the thousands of patients getting cured,
who were earlier declared incurable. It is my privilege, today, to write
about Dr. Devendra Vora.
Dr. Vora, the greatest Acupressurist humanity has ever known,
came across this therapy in 1977 after which he dedicated his life to
the service of humanity. He started with simple diseases and
gradually took the challenge of curing Heart problems, Kidney
problems etc. In the past 23 years, he has personally treated more
than 2 lac patients, which include, interestingly, 2500 medical
practitioners! In addition, he has trained more than 30,000
acupressure volunteers all over the world.
He treats patients at 4 centres in Mumbai, the details of which are
given at the end of this post. It is thrilling to note that all his
services are totally free of charge. He treats around 40 to 50
patients an hour, which gives him hardly a minute to diagnose and
treat any patient! Without quizzing the patients about their
problems, he intuitively presses various points on the patients'
palms before arriving at a conclusion. Many doctors have testified
that Dr. Vora arrives at the same diagnosis which they arrive only
after carrying out complicated tests/Scans. Most patients go to him
as a last resort, after all other therapies have failed, and in spite of
all that, most patients are cured in no time. The remedies suggested
by him include incorporating certain changes in diet, lifestyle and, in
addition, pressing certain points on the palms. The testimonies to

the efficacy of his treatment and in general, Acupressure therapy,
are the thousands of patients cured from dangerously serious
diseases and also the fact that many of his patrons are world
renowned doctors.
He has successfully cured patients suffering from serious ailments
like HIV/AIDS, Cancer, tumors, problems of Thyroid/Parathyroid,
brain, kidney and heart, Hormonal imbalances, Cataract, Diabetes,
High/Low BP, various forms of Fever/cold etc. He declares that “Any
disease except death is curable” and throws an open challenge, "Give
me one disease that is not curable by Acupressure". Jocularly, he
remarks, “The only drawback of Acupressure is that it is completely
free of cost”. He also guarantees, “It can be tried on any human, be
it a one-day-old child or a hundred-years-old patient. So long as a
person is alive, he can be given Acupressure treatment”.
Having treated more than 10,000 cancer patients in the last 10
years, he asserts that all types of cancer can be easily cured, and
adds, “Cancer is the easiest to cure by Acupressure. Cancer patients
show positive response to the treatment in just 15 days and are
cured shortly thereafter”. For his research on Cancer and HIV/AIDS,
the Open International University of Colombo bestowed the degrees
of D.Sc., M.D and FRCP on Dr. Vora. He was also nominated for the
Nobel prize for his services to mankind.
He points out, “We are not doctors. We are only bio-energic
electricians”. He has written two books, “Health in your Hands Part-1
and 2”, which have been translated into 15 languages of the world
and which have sold over 4 million copies worldwide.

He expresses deep concern over Modern medicine for blindly
resorting to ECG/sonography/MRI scans etc., and neglecting some
very obvious hints. He doesn't suggest his patients to undergo any
tests. He can, from his rich experience, even deduce BP/Sugar levels
merely by applying pressure on a few points of the palm.
Humanity is highly fortunate to have the selfless services of this
'Wonder Doctor', whose highest concern is to guarantee health to
the world. Millions of patients have benefited so far. As I conclude
this post, I earnestly hope that all the people of the world shall have
the fortune to benefit from his services.

details of Dr. Devendra Vora.
Update: I stand deeply pained and shocked at the demise of
the beloved Dr. Vora. The selfless person who had restored
the health of millions of people, has passed on, creating a void
that no one can fill, and is a huge loss to our nation and
humanity at large. May his soul rest in peace.
Owing to numerous e-mails from readers requesting the contact
details of other practitioners of acupressure, I felt it necessary to
share the details here. I sincerely thank Mr. Sundar Raman
(Mumbai) for taking great trouble to gather the following
information on one of the currently operating acupressure clinics.
1. Dr. Mani Krishna (Mob. No.- 9820154410)
2. Dr. Homi Billimoria (Mob. No.- 9833572581*)
Address:
Ward-2, Sarvodaya Hospital
Lal Bahadur Shastri Marg (LBS Marg),
Ghatkopar West, Mumbai - 400086
Phone: 022 25152332
(Clinic open between 9:00 and 11:00 hrs. on Tuesday and
Saturday.)
They charge a nominal fee of Rs. 30 per patient.
* Please note that the mobile no. published previously for Dr.
Billimoria was wrong. This (9833572581) is the correct no. Thank
you Ms. Priti for pointing it out.

Hi Anu,
I suggest you to seek an appointment with Dr. Vora or go
through his books. I have myself seen some people get cured
through acupressure. Moreover, it is mostly inexpensive and
there are no side effects. I guess there is no harm trying
once...

belong it. I owe a my better health to it. and i am dyingly
interested to possess this eternal knowledge of nature cure.
I was duty-bound to drop a year and after that i too
participated in the rat-race of being an engg. Recently i read
'the monk who sold his ferrari' and decided to switch on for
my newly discovered passion although i am doing well in
btech.
The problem is that my this decision will prove to be a great
financial loss for my father as i belong to a middle class family.
And if adding to this anyhow i am not provided with a good
training university, my this apt decision will prove to be a
blame on me for ever. so please guide me sir.I need to
withdraw my addmission from btech until end of september or

Hi Divya,
Glad to know that you have found the book useful, and are
inspired to study more about this science.
If you intend to study this science, there are quite a lot of
universities in India, that offer Diplomas in Acupressure, like
http://www.acupressureindia.com/ in Rajastan (Disclaimer: I
have no information about the nature/contents/quality of the
courses and am in no way associated with the university.
There are many other universities in India...Just search for
them online). Courses are mostly possible through
correspondence, though you generally have to attend the
practical sessions. Therefore, I would highly recommend you
NOT to drop your course (B.Tech), unless you have other
{really strong} reasons to drop out from B.Tech. My advise to
you is to take a course in Acupressure as a supplement to
your B.Tech degree and practice it in addition to your

engineering career. Most practitioners of acupressure,
including Dr. Devendra Vora, generally offer services free of
cost, as a service to society. Dr. Vora himself is primarily a
Businessman(textile) who has been rendering free service to
humanity.
There are a lot of people who are basically engineers by
profession, but offer acupressure services, as a social service.
Good luck...

Hi Mamta,
I am glad to know that you have already benefited from Dr.
Vora's books. If you reside not very far from Mumbai, I
request you to visit one of Vora's treatment centres in
Mumbai. Treatment is free of charge and you need no prior
appointment. The timings/location can be found here(Click)
As Dr. Vora is generally very busy, please DO NOT telephone
him. You may, however, send him an e-mail with the
description of your problem.
Hope this information benefits you.

@ajaypaip. Pl also send me the contact details. Perhaps the
Sunday Clinic at the space at the back of the Nimbalkar Library
still functions between 9-12 in the morning. A token charge of
Rs 30 was applicable to cover the rent of the premises. This
was during Dr.Vora's time. The rest of the addresses on the
obverse of the first page in the book were not functional even
during late Dr.Vora' time.
