Demographic Transition India is in the state 2 of
demographic transition with a high birth rate and a decreasing death rate.
High birth rate because children are needed for farming, many children dying at an early age, religious or social encouragements to have children, improvement in medical care, increase in water sanitation level, and fewer infant deaths.
As India’s technology develops the population will start decreasing with death rate higher than birth rate.
One way this can happen is through with increase in women education.
