The Model SOP document is intended to bring in uniformity in delegation of financiala:nda:drninistra~ive powers across Zones and Production Units (to the extent applicable) andempowerPHODs/CHODs and DRMs, includingthe field officers while leavingample sco-p.efQr the GM's to add ot suitably modify prov1sions to suit the lo.ciirconditions,wlttitn meoVe"rarching powers delegated tothem.

The Model SOP has been prepared by adopting the base. template of South CentralRailway, .and ,further incorporating the best practices existing in the SOPs of various ZonalRailways, The powers delegated to GMSlDRMs vide recent Railway Board Letter No20 17rrranslO I/PoHcy dated 18.10.2017 have also beenincluded in this Model SOP;
