The Progress
WHAT IS AIESEC GCDP PROGRAM?
The AIESEC Global Community Development Program is a program
that provides a global platform for young people to travel and work
abroad, experience a culture other their own, live the live of other
people and create a positive impact on society. It is a balance
between formality and casualness. We establish the credibility of our
organization while simultaneously bonding with our peers on shared
interests and motives.
Our International Internship program allows students (and recent
graduates) to gain and develop professional skills and to have an
intense cultural experience
AIESEC has been running this program for 63 years and now in over 110 countries and 4000 clients. The program enables organizations to source high potential students and recent graduates from over 1700 universities in over 110 countries and territories. The AIESEC intern proves to be an excellent solution for covering both long-term and short-term human resource needs according to the strategic needs of each organization. AIESEC’s Global Exchange Program is an effective way for you to be able to access international talent for your organization and take them on as interns. Depending on your needs, the internships last between 2 weeks-18 months, in which the intern has the space to grow, learn and share knowledge as they to handle specific short term projects or work within a team on long term strategies.

WHAT THEY SAY:
“The United Nations has long recognised that the
imagination, ideals and energies of young men and
women are vital for the continuing development of the
societies in which they live. AIESEC has contributed to
this development by serving as an agent of positive
change through education and cultural exchange to
develop a broader understanding of cultural, socio-
economic and business management issues.”
Kofi A. Annan
Secretary General

“AIESEC is an organization that develops high quality young professional graduates with an international perspective and solid leadership ability. This fits well with P&G as global market leader and as an organization that only recruits
top quality, high potential youth. In addition the projects and activities AIESEC runs on
campuses are relevant in the South African context”. Doaa Kedr Talent Practice Manager, P&G

MUST-KNOWs: *Abbreviations are explained on final page*
Raising: Meetings with NGOs, Schools, Hotels, other relevant organizations or Foundations:
Talk about general knowledge of AIESEC (some may or may not read you initial mail), then how
the Exchange Programs work highlighting on GCDP.
Align work, value and cause of organization/institution (this needs some level of research into
the organization prior meeting) to that of AIESEC’s and the value proposition involved in
obtaining interns from AIESEC.
Hint on other areas they can partner with or benefit from a partnership with AIESEC (this
usually based on research into the organization as well as what you pick up from the
interaction).
If available, take CVs of EPs with you to show profiles of EPs.
Reschedule the next meeting date (if applicable) or date for feedback. Maintain contact at a
frequent pace.
Always be “before time”.
*TN JQs could also be handed out at the meeting if the deal is sealed there and then*
Upon dealing, send TN JQ (Job Questionnaire) to NGO to be filled and signed:
An official TN JQ to be used will be sent to you. The organization must understand that this is a
binding legal contract and thus, should not be breached.

When returned to you, raise TN form:
After the NGO has completed and signed the TN JQ, they must email it back to you in order to
raise their form on myaiesec.net. Upload the information from the TN JQ onto myaiesec.net
when creating a TN form of the NGO in question by first adding the NGO to the database from
the “add organization” button in the AIESEC Programs tab. Unless otherwise stated or not
applicable, information on the TN JQ must correspond to that of the TN form created on
myaiesec.net
*Step by step procedure uploaded on myaiesec.net at
http://www.myaiesec.net/content/viewfile.do?contentid=10197089*
Matching: Browse myaiesec.net for suitable EPs for your TN if you don’t have any applications
from EPs.
When an EP is found for a particular TN, forward the EP’s CV to the
organization/institution for feedback. However, this is not applicable if it is a project
being run by the LC.
Schedule an interview with EP (preferably Skype or Gtalk).
When satisfied (this includes the TN), accept AN from EP and send yours:
Just like the TN JQ, you would be given an official AN .
