 INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU 5 days / 4 nights The royal Inca trail to Machu picchu is a particular trek in the world. This Inca trail to Machu picchu sets out from Chilca, and takes about four to five days of tough hiking. The route runs through an impressing range of altitudes, where climates and eco-systems range from the high Andean plain, down to the cloud forests. The trail climbs up through two highland passes (the higher of the two, Warmiwañuska, lies at 4,200 m.a.s.l.) before reaching Machu Picchu through the Inti Punku or Gateway of the Sun. The forests abound in hundreds of species of orchids, brightly-colored birds and dream-like landscapes, the ideal complement to this indispensable hikers' route. Machu Picchu was connected with the city of Cusco and the rest of the Inca empire by amazing trails, specifica lly designed for the use of theIncas, in perfect harmony with the flora and fauna of the area. It has to be said that they had an absolutely wonder ful knowledge of architecture and construction. Throughout the whole trail you can locate some shelters surrounded by gorgeous country sites and great views. Some of the trails lead you to a few archeological remains. The Inca Trail to Machu Picchu is known as the most famous and tough hiking circuit all over South America, because of the conjunction of different elements that it offers to its visitors. INCA TRAIL TO MACHU PICCHU 5 days / 4 nights First Day on Inca Trail: Cusco - Llactapata This Inca trail to Machu Picchu starts with the picking up from your hotel, getting through theSacred Valley of the Incas, heading for Chilca. At this point we meet with our supporting staff (porters) for the whole Inca path. From here we start the Inca Trail itself.  At night we`ll set up our camp at Llactapata, an important fort along the Vilcanota River , which in part of its course is called Wilcamayu (Sacred River ). Second Day on Inca Trail: Llactapata - Llullucha This day we`ll do a stretch of the Inca Trail which comprehends from Llactapata to Llullucha. After a refreshing breakfast we`ll walk as if going to the Salkantay, but heading for Wayllabamba towards the North West in order to get at Lllullucha, where we`ll have our second camping, in the lower place of the Warmihuañusca Passage, the highest point along the whole Inca Trail. Third Day on Inca Trail: Llullucha - Phuyupatamarca Very early we start an ascending trek getting through the Warmihuañusca Pass, which is at a height of 4,200 M.A.S.L. (13,700 Feet). From this site we can appreciate very well preserved stretches of the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, and spectacular views from the  Andes just to descend heading for Phuyupatamarca, as we watch the archaeological sites Runcuracay andSayacvmarca, remains which offer an anticipation in architectural beauty to the finish of the Inca Trail, and the majest icMachu Picchu.  Fourth Day on Inca Trail: Phuyupatamarca - Machu-Picchu Very early on this day we`ll go to Machu Picchu, having previously visited and greeted the archaeological site of Wiñayhuayna and the Intipata. Two hours later, in the final stretch of theInca Trail to Machu picchu, we`ll get in by the Inti Punku (the Sun`s Gate), our first contact with Machu Picchu. Then we`ll descend to Aguas Calientes, better known as the Machu Picchu`s town. We`ll camp next to the river (1 night hotel is optional). You`ll have enough time to relax in the Thermal Baths of theMachu Picchu town. Fifth Day on Inca Trail: Machu-Picchu - Cusco We will wake up very early in the morning . After breakfast we will take a bus up to visit the new wonder of the ancient world : Machu Picchu. You`ll have a two hours guidance
