Page 2: In your November Texas Co-op Power

1 cup butter¾ cup regular oil1 cup granulated sugar1 cup confectioner’s sugar2 eggs1 tsp lemon or orange extract4 cups flour1 tsp salt1 tsp baking soda

Cream together butter, oil and sugars. Add eggs and extract. Mix thoroughly.

In a bowl, combine flour, salt and baking soda. Add to creamed mixture a little at a time until well blended.

Chill dough for 30-45 minutes. Form dough into balls and drop on an ungreased cookie sheet. Press with a glass that has been dipped in sugar.

Bake at 350oF for 6-8 minutes. They will turn crisp as they cool.
