Volunteers wrapped sweaters for our Members. Clipped Wings provided 29 sweaters and 17 sweaters were donated by Bernice Kussell Society members. Sweaters were also purchased with $575 worth of Target gift cards donated by VNSA. The sweaters were delivered to our group homes.

OneAZ Credit Union’s Lisa Day (second from left) presented a $1,500 check to VALLEYLIFE President and CEO Cletus Thiebeau; Margaret Stephens-Reed, director of Fund Development; and Ann Polunsky, grant writer. The grant will be used for vocational services.

Members worked to keep our community beautiful by picking up trash and other lawn waste at Rose Mofford Park on October 24th. The volunteer project was part of an ongoing partnership between VALLEYLIFE and the North Phoenix Kiwanis Club. Several Kiwanis members also participated in the project.

Carl and Mia were inseparable until Mia moved away and left DTA 5 about a year ago. She went into the HCBS program. They had not seen each other since Mia left. They visited during VALLEYLIFE's Oktoberfest celebration. Staff called the reunion "magical."
