Adult Literacy Program is in need of potential stu- dents and tutors. Students, Tutors Needed B EDFORD — The City of Bedford conducted a ribbon cutting and dedication to commemorate Earth Day for its newly relocated Community Garden at Fifth and H streets on April 19. Bedford Urban Enterprise Association (BUEA) presented the nearly 3-acre site to the city, which has allocated its care to the city parks department. Live Well Lawrence County and Purdue Extension part- nered with the city to ready the site and will assist in its maintenance, according to Bedford Parks Director Barry Jeskewich. The garden, which was designed by a landscape architect, will feature 10-by-10- foot and 10-by-20-foot plots, handicapped-accessible raised beds, a walking trail, a hoop house, playground, restrooms and shelter house. Water is also available at the garden. The site should be ready to welcome gardeners by May 13.
