This odd couple of Leo and Abe mirrors Riggs and Murtaugh from the Lethal Weapon franchise. The situations they face result in dangerous outcomes.

Each episode showcases the surrealism that is Las Vegas as well as the brutality of crossing Pac Rat’s unforgiving ego.

Theme

A free spirited stoner, that’s gullible yet street smart. Leo has the natural curiosity and sensitive nature of a cat.

He is whimsical which often leads to his lack of responsibility when it comes to important situations. He is always trying to infuse his carefree ways onto his childhood best friend, Abe.

His obsession with weed can lead him on solo adventures to find different strands of potent weed.

A by the book, straight laced, intellectual that could tell you how hot the sun is, but wouldn’t know if a female was flirting with him to save his life.

Abe’s a meticulous primate and his analytical brain makes him uptight and his OCD nature often has the nonchalant Leo driving him nuts, even though he loves Leo like a brother.

He tries his best to keep up with new technology to the point he is the first to acquire it and ponder all the new conspiracy theories. He’s also the first to mention aliens!

The always charming, extremely well organized control freak, and demented sociopath Pac Rat has a sense of honor that is juxtaposed to his inherent evil. He’s a crafty rodent that is not without a sense of humor although it borders on the sadistic.

Pac Rat has an impeccable taste for the finer things, being well versed in all types of exquisite art to a degree that his romanticism exudes from his pores just as naturally as harsh judgement does.

He grows African Violets and has a flower garden in the penthouse of every one of his casinos. He often visits mom and pop flower stores to see their growing styles. If Pac Rat doesn’t approve, he can get violent. Flowers are fragile and are everything he feels he is not.

Short-fused and arrogant, Jackie is one Jaguar that will rip your face off and proceed to inform you what your face looks like lying on the ground.

His natural agility isn’t just restricted to his body, his tongue is just as quick and nimble. He’s Pac Rat’s number one and he plans on keeping that position as he’s one of the most street smart and crafty cats in Vegas.

Is addicted to trying different types and flavors of ice cream (the cat in him really enjoys milk in its frozen form).

Don’t be fooled by Savannah’s sass and stunning looks to match an hour-glass figure, she is easily one of the most intelligent and captivating creatures Leo and Abe have ever crossed paths with.

It is no accident that she is the number one showgirl in Vegas. Yet underneath the bird-like beauty that makes it seem as if she soars above the clouds, high above everyone else, is the complexity of a caring dreamer that struggles with being aloft and nurturing.

She’s a triple threat, practices Tai Chi along with her other martial arts, and she occasionally meditates with an old badger that is a Tai Chi master.

Lion and Gorilla is a fantastical version of earth where all the animals of the animal kingdom, both past and present, coexist with even more advanced technologies than our real world.

There are laser powered guns and creatures like the T-Rex who have cybernetic arms to compensate for their tiny forearms.

Animal Kingdom in a Parallel Universe

Like in the real world there are those T-Rex that refuse to use their arms and just use their feet and adapt to their handicaps.

There are sensibilities that fit the world we know, but in this world the animals convey unique quirks. There are places on this earth where mythical animals like dragons and unicorns exist next to elephants and bears.

In this world chickens and cows are not a main source of food. Instead amphibians got dealt the short straw and frog legs are as common as fried chicken and steak in this world.

Dragons, for example, are relatively the same size as the other animals. But they have tiny vestigial wings and unlike their ancient ancestors they do not breathe fire, but have a predisposition to vaping or smoking in general.

In this world, humans are exotic pets, very rare and owned by the elite. They are relative in size to do-mestic cats and dogs of the world we live in. On oc-casion, owners will fight them like pit bulls.

Similar to how the Marvel Cinematic Universe ex-panded into more fantastical characters and story-telling from the more down to earth 2008 Ironman film to the climactic Avengers: Endgame. The world of Lion & Gorilla will expand into the prehistoric and mythical animal kingdoms as the series moves for-ward.

Edgy animated series crime saga about a twenty-something lion and gorilla on a journey of self discovery. They inhabit an anthropomorphic version of our world.

Leo the lion and Abe the gorilla, hope to avoid the debt they owe as they escape the slums of St. Louis to the city of sin.

Upon arriving in Las Vegas, they come in conflict with the top Vegas mob boss, Pac Rat. One misadventure after another, Leo and Abe must find a way to escape the vengeance of Pac Rat who will stop at nothing to end their journey. It’s the mob genre meets science fiction...with laser guns!

Concept

SHOW CROSS

Running from their past, Leo and Abe don’t even make it into Las Vegas city limits without witnessing a murder. Pressing their luck, Leo and Abe play poker and Abe wins big.

Things take an upturn for Leo and Abe until they cross paths with casino owner and mobster Pac Rat. Leo choices make his and Abe’s situation worse when Leo seeks and receives the attention of Pac Rat’s lady Savannah.

However, Pac Rat is not to be trifled with and he ups the ante by kidnapping Leo and Abe’s only choice to rescue Leo is cage fighting!

Pac Rat’s origin story and ends with his introduction to Leo and Abe. Pac Rat interacts with various characters and reveals the other adversaries of the universe: laser gun traffickers, political figures, other mobsters, drug dealers. Jackie’s recruited from a different crew.

Savannah’s origin story and ends with her introduction to her future love interest, Leo. Also showing her skills to kill, she’s more than just a pretty face. She believes he is an enemy of Pac Rat.

Abe’s origin story and ends with the conflict that plays out in season one. How can Leo and Abe maintain their friendship in a city where no one can be trusted and the stakes are high.

Pac Rat is gunning for Leo and Abe, his henchmen; Jackie, Gaston, and Sonnie are hot on their trail and the two best friends must channel their inner animal to escape death and defend their newly found status in Las Vegas as a new faction in town.

Gaston’s origin story – has a major twist that will develop as the season progresses. The twist is that Gaston is an informant for the FBI. He’s actually the weak link in Pac Rat’s empire. The revelation is revealed at the end of the episode.

This is the set-up of the blow out in the next episode. The full details of Gaston’s relationship with the FBI is presented, and introduce two FBI agent animals.

One of the FBI agents is hospitalized due to injuries in the previous episode and here’s where we are introduced to advanced cybernetics used by animals such as the T-Rex. We meet an old seasoned vet of the FBI who is a T-Rex.

(This could also be Leo’s origin story and end with the cybernetic agents as well as Lines are drawn between Pac Rat, Leo, and Abe.)

The dangerous situations that are an every day of Las Vegas, in the world of Lion and Gorilla, all converge and Leo and Abe are right in the middle, with not only their lives in jeopardy but also their friendship! This is where West Indian Sammy makes his move on Pac Rat’s empire!

Big Action happens! A weapons deal is happening between Pac Rat’s people and Cuban Wolves, Tigers and Snakes. The FBI shows up to raid the weapons exchange based on the tip from Gaston.
