Chapter 8 in the book is important in that it allows us to see how Patria becomes a part of the rebellion, and it also further explains why her sisters either did or did not join as well. In fact, by the end of this chapter, three of the Mirabal sisters are on their path to their demise at the hands of Trujillo. I would like you to infer why the sisters made the choices they did.
