However, writing for films is something she won't mind in future. "Everyone says, 'I want to become director'. It is easy to be a director, but it is very difficult to be a good director. I haven't thought about it. I like writing though. That is something I enjoy the most. I have plans, but let's see," Shruti told IANS. Asked if she would like to write for films or get into scripting some day, she said: "Maybe I will write for films. Right now I have too much on my plate." Shruti, 27, doesn't even have any plans to share her life with some- one as of now, and she likes her independence. "I haven't really thought about settling down. I am personally living alone. Liv- ing in is a big question you know. My mother (Sarika) lives two to three streets Shruti Haasan might write for films away from me. I am living alone for many years now. "I am independent, I have lived in the US alone, I like my apartment, my bedroom, my kitchen. So living in is no question. I can't imagine letting some- one in it right now." My film is my responsibility, says Veena Malik Mumbai, Pakistani actress Veena Malik, whose "Zindagi 50-50" released this Friday, says she is a born actor. She feels she is responsible for the film she signs from day one of her association with it till its release. "I am not a seasonal actor that I will do acting for some time and then move on to some other profession. I am born to act. I am a responsible ac- tor. It is my responsibility to stand with my film from beginning to end," Veena said here during the screening of her film. Veena has gone out of her way to promote her film "Zindagi 50-50", di- rected by Rajiv S. Ruia. She plays a sex worker in the film and recently she even promoted the film in Kamathipura, a red light area in Mumbai. "Whenever I sign a film, I feel from day one till the date my film doesn't hit the theaters, it is my re- sponsibility - whether I am unwell or unhappy about something, but I have to take out time to promote the film," she added. UNI Karthi to spend b'day on 'All In All Azhagu Raja' sets Chennai, Tamil actor Karthi Sivakumar, who will turn 35 Saturday, will spend his birthday on the sets of his upcoming Tamil comedy "All In All Azhagu Raja" (AIAAR). "We are currently shooting the second schedule of the film in Kumbakonam. Karthi will celebrate his birthday on the sets with the entire crew... and we have planned for a small party for him in the evening," a source from the film's unit told IANS. Back home, in Chennai, members of Karthi's fans' club plan to celebrate by indulging in some charity. "We are plan- ning for charitable events such as blood donation camp and distributing books to underprivileged school children," said a member of the club. Paired opposite Kajal Agarwal, Karthi has pinned all hopes on the film. He hopes it will resurrect his dwindling ca- reer. With two back-to-back dubs such as "Saguni" and "Alex Pandian", Karthi, brother of actor Suriya Sivakumar, hopes AIAAR will catapult him back to stardom. Rajesh M is di- recting the film, which also features Santhanam, Prabhu and Saranya Ponvannan. 'Satyagraha' promotions to begin in Bhopal Mumbai, Filmmaker Prakash Jha will start the promotions of his upcoming film "Satyagraha" in Bhopal, where the movie was majorly shot. "Bhopal is a city very close to Prakashji since all his experiences of filmmaking are deeply rooted in Madhya Pradesh. So, Prakashji will start the promotional campaign of 'Satyagraha' in Bhopal from June-end," said a source close to the project. "Satyagraha", a political thriller, features a stellar ensemble cast comprising Amitabh Bachchan, Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor, Manoj Bajpayee and Arjun Rampal.
