That year, D‐USA registered 72,000 new Hispanic voters in that state, surpassing its original goal by 44 percent. In 2006, D‐USA expanded to Arizona, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania, registered more than 105,000 new Hispanic voters, and was credited by the Associated Press with generating 70% of all new non‐partisan voter registrations in the Hispanic community. Esperanza’s work is driven by the biblical mandate to serve and advocate for the “least of these,” we strengthen Hispanic communities (Matthew 25:40). Esperanza is the largest Hispanic faith based evangelical network in the United States, with a national network of over 12,000 churches, ministries, and community organizations. Esperanza’s local service include: education (Esperanza Academy Charter High School & Esperanza College), housing counseling, community and economic development planning, capacity building training (Hispanic Capacity Project), youth consortium (Communities United to Empower Youth), and workforce development (Betances Job Training Program, Esperanza Career Link Center, Esperanza EARN Center). On a national level, Esperanza is an intermediary providing capacity building skills and grants to faith‐based organizations around the country. Esperanza is also the founder and host of the National Hispanic Prayer Breakfast and Conference, held annually in Washington, DC. Esperanza’s ministry work includes a national women ministry uniting three generations of women in service and prayer. 31. Since, the Hispanic Chamber has become a vehicle that serves as a resource to small businesses, professionals and corporations and as a voice before government entities. The GPHCC provides programs and services that stimulate economic growth through business development within our communities in the Greater Philadelphia region while strengthening a Latino voice that works to increase Hispanic talent across markets. The Greater Philadelphia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce membership primarily consists of businesses and individuals who represent all segments of commerce in Greater Philadelphia. The Hispanic Chamber serves a unique market formed by Hispanic businesses seeking to learn and to maximize the opportunities the region offers, mainstream businesses seeking to service the Latino market, and Hispanic professionals seeking to excel. Founded in 1982, HACE seeks to put the neighborhood "on the map" as a center of Latino arts and culture for the city and region and to help neighborhood residents build wealth. Collaborations allow HACE to focus on: planning and visioning, advocacy, encouraging homeownership, working with the business community, "bricks and mortar" development projects, and delivery of social services to our residents. 37. Hispanic American Correctional Officer’s Association (HACOA) 519‐21 W. The organization advocates issues relating to Latinos in prison and a youth services. 38. It began with the Philadelphia edition that primarily served Hispanics within the city. Since then, Hispanic communities in surrounding areas have grown and have developed their identity and businesses that focus on the needs of their unique look and area. HYP now proudly publishes the Philadelphia Metropolitan Edition that serves Latinos in the City of Philadelphia and the surrounding area better known as the “Delaware Valley.
Each directory is packed with city, county and state data and facts. The Hispanic Yellow Pages provides full‐color, quality information, including an informative section dedicated to Hispanic countries of origin. The directories highlight Hispanic owned and operated businesses that seek to reach this economically emerging segment.

This assistance helps parents to participate more effectively with professionals in meeting the educational needs of children and youth with disabilities. HUNE works to improve educational outcomes for children and youth with all disabilities (emotional, learning, mental, and physical) from 0‐21 years of age 40. Hogar Crea de Philadelphia 5831 N. At this center, they offer basic English classes for adults, cultural events, host a Mexican dance troupe, and generally seek to meet the needs of the community. They are particularly interested in students who would be willing to teach or assist ESL classes or work as homework aids with children after school. In an effort to be sensitive to the community’s needs, JUNTOS usually asks for at least a semester‐long commitment from volunteers so that students and community members can build trust and form relationships.
