This process utilizes heavy duty patterned rolls through which sheets are passed and imprinted with the same design as the rolls. Pressure, speed and material thick-ness are to be considered in this process. It is advisa-ble to keep the thickness as low as possible in order to achieve maximum depth of pattern on the sheets. Embossed sheets tend to show an increase in strength and is anti vandal.

Wet etching is achieved with the use of chemicals that eat away the exposed surface creating a matt, dull finished area with the contrasting base finish. These finishes are most attractive when used with a contrast-ing base finish. Base finish of Brush with etching, Base finish mirror with Etching, etc.

We have over fifty readily available patterns. Custom designs can also be made after approval of design by our production department.

EMBOSS ETCH

Also known as 3D finishing, it is a process where a sheet is passed through abrasives rotating at high speeds for a particular design that is fed into a CNC machine. This finish can be customised according to the customer provided designs.

A highly reflective, non-directional finish that is manu-factured by grinding followed by fine polishing of the surface in the presence of specific chemicals, this results in a surface equivalent to that of a glass mirror. A very popular finish among architects and interior designers, this finish is truly an eye catcher.

Page 12: in Stainless Steel for Architectural & Industrial Applications

Also known as brushed, directional or satin finish. A #4 architectural finish is characterized by fine polishing grit lines that are uniform and directional in appearance. It is produced by polishing the metal with a 120–180 grit belt or wheel finish and then softened with an 80–120 grit greaseless compound or a medium non-woven abrasive belt#4 Dairy or sanitary finish – A #4 dairy or sanitary fin-ish is produced by polishing with a 180–240 grit belt or wheel finish softened with 120–240 grit greaseless compound or a fine non-woven abrasive belt or pad.

This finish is achieved using fine abrasives which are fired at the stainless steel in a stream of compressed air . This achieves a uniform, matt grey finish on finish on components and fab-ricated parts such as casting. It can also be used selectively for decorative purposes, simply referred to as a uniform matte finish of sheet surface with micro pits. They are finishes with low reflectivity and no directionality are obtained by bead blasting and contrast well visually when ad-jacent to polished stainless steel. The texture of the surface varies with bead materials.

The name explains the look of the finish: these are well defined continuous uni-directional lines manufactured using abrasives that cut through the surface in microns. These differ from the #4 or Brush finish in surface rough-ness, grain structure and production methods. The Hair-line finish is a smoother, reflective finish and is used primarily as a decorative product visually when adjacent to polished stainless steel. The texture of the surface varies with bead materials.

This is a non directional, non uniform finish made by vibrating rough abrasives that embed multiple contin-uous scratches overlapping each other. This is one of the popular finishes and could be called modern art on stainless steel.

These coatings are only a few microns thick and do not alter the finish in anyway. These are hard coatings that have a life that surpasses any other colour coating process on stainless steel. A wide variety of colours are available with this method ranging from polished brass (light gold) to black to multi-colour.

Love shiny things but can’t find the technology to turn your old rusty piece into the desired work of art. We’ve got the solution for you which is cost effective, long lasting and you won’t be able to tell the difference if it is real chrome or not. We have developed a chrome coating technology which is guaranteed to last and is as resilient and long lasting as automotive grade paint.

CHROME (Paint Based)

For only stainless steel substrates, a unique coating pro-cess which was developed in-house is used in order to get the desired antique finish, be it bronze, brass or cop-per. We have developed over 15 different variations in each of these antique brass, antique bronze and antique copper respectively. Each part will be as unique as the other and no two parts may look the same if desired.

VINTAGE

With a range of different materials and designs available, mo-saic tiles is a perfect and cost effective way to turn any internal wall to a work of art. We are able to offer finishes of stainless steel which include all our available finishes. Materials such as glass, ceramic, mother of pearl, etcetera can be mixed with stainless steel tiles further enhancing the beauty of the mosaic. Our mosaic tiles are easy to install and take no time at all. You can find a step by step installation procedure under our techni-cal specification visually, when adjacent to polished stainless steel. The texture of the surface varies with bead materials.

LUSTROSO BRASA

As a metal, titanium is recognized for its high strength to weight ratio. It is a strong metal with low density that is quite ductile (especially in an oxygen-free environment),They are known to be lustrous, and metallic-white in color. The relatively high melting point (more than 1,650 °C or 3,000 °F) makes it useful as a refectory-metal.It is paramagnetic and has fairly low electrical and thermal conductivity.

Also known as brushed, directional or satin finish. A #4 architectural finish is characterized by fine polishing grit lines that are uniform and directional in appearance. ECCENTRICO

By combining the reflection of a light source on the metal and absolute art, we have brought about a revolutionary way to form images of any shape, size or color on to sheet metal. By changing every angle on tabs punched into the sheet metal, the light reflected upon these tabs creates a lively and crisp image which seems to change from each angle and distance you stand from the product.

Waterjet is a generic term used to describe equipment for cutting or cleaning purposes using a jet of water at high velocity and pressure, or a mixture of water and an abrasive substance. Waterjet is the most versatile process, because it is able to cut almost any type of material. Abrasive jet is a subcategory of waterjet in which abrasive is introduced to accelerate the process. The mixing of abrasive particles in water jet in such a manner that water jet’s momentum is transferred to the abrasives.

PLASMA CUTTINGPlasma cutting is a process that cuts through electri-cally conductive materials by means of an accelerat-ed jet of hot plasma. Plasma – a fourth state of mat-ter which is ionized gas, it occurs when gas is heated at a very high temperature (20,000 deg. Cent.) And achieve equal number of positively charged ions and negatively charged ions. So under plasma cutting machine the gas is of high temperature and pres-sure. Thus it can only be used on high temperature and pressure.

Oxy fuel cutting use a combination of fuel gases and oxygen to cut metals. Suitable for medium-sized and thick materials.Economic use of several torches.Low investment and consumables costs.Bevel cutting with up to three torches on one aggre-gate.

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a laser to cut ma-terials, and is typically used for industrial manufacturing applications : a laser is a device that generates an in-tense beam of coherent monochromatic light used in drilling and cutting, alignment and guidance.

LASER CUTTING

CNC PUNCHING

TRUMP F

Punch presses are developed for high flexibility and effi-cient processing of metal stampings. The main areas of application are for small and medium runs. This method is used where the application of lasers are inefficient or technically impractical. Punching is often the cheapest method for creating holes in sheet metal in medium to high production volumes. When a specially shaped punch is used to create multiple usable parts from a sheet material the process is known as blanking.

The most common method of perforating metal uses a rotary pinned perforation roller. This is a large cylinder with sharp, pointed needles on the outside to punch holes into the metal. As the sheet metal is run across the perforation roller, it rotates, continuously punching holes in the passing sheet. The needles on the roller, which can produce a wide variety of hole sizes, are sometimes heated to simultaneously melt the metal which forms a reinforced ring around the perforation.

COIL TO COIL PUNCHING

COIL CUT TO LENGTH

Capabilities

A flat sheet of material is not actually produced by a mill as a flat sheet. In reality, a flat sheet of material starts its life as part of a coil of material. A Cut-To-Length ma-chine will uncoil the material, level it, and then cut it to the required length and stack it. The end product produced by a Cut-To-Length machine is a flat sheet of material cut to a very precise length tolerance.

SLITTING

ROLLING

Slitting is used to cut a wide coil of metal into a number of narrower coils as the main coil is moved through the slitterAlso referred to as a type of metal cutting process where large rolls, or coils, of sheet metal stock are cut using extremely sharp rotary blades.

Capabilities

In metalworking, rolling is a metal forming process in which metal stock is passed through one or more pairs of rolls to reduce the thickness and to make the thick-ness uniform. The concept is similar to the rolling of dough. A plate rolling machine is a machine that will roll different kinds of metal sheet into a round or conical shape. It can be also called a “roll bending machine”, “plate bending machine” or “rolling machine.

V GROOVING

PLATE BENDING

We house the largest plate/ sheet bending machine in the Middle East. It is Robust, Accurate, Speedy, Flexible and easy operating

Bending metal using a V-Grooving machine allows it to be folded to a tight radius, or sharp corner. This enables folded metal to mimic solid bar material at around a tenth of the cost and also avoids wastage. V-Grooved profiles look just like solid bar material but are light in weight and easier to transport and in-stall. V-Grooving and folding creates minimum waste and is on average a tenth of the cost of working with solid bar metals. V-Grooving can be created not just in one shape of V. Wider V, semi-circular and square grooving is also possible allowing for a range of de-sign variations.

CNC LATHE

DRILLING

A lathe is a tool that rotates the work piece about an axis of rotation to perform various operations such as cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling, deformation, facing, turning, with tools that are applied to the work piece to create an object with symmetry about that axis. A chuck is a specialized type of clamp. It is used to hold an object with radial symmetry, especially a cylinder. On a lathe the chuck is mounted on the spindle which rotates.

Many applications, usually involving either mounting parts or routing wiring and other materials, require holes to be drilled or punched into sheet metal. As with any other typical fabrication task, there isn’t always a right or wrong way to do the job. But, sometimes there is a better way. We, with over 40years of experience as the most preferred service centre in UAE pride in having the best machinery and most seasoned technicians to carry out metal sheet/ plate drilling for varied applications.

ELECTROPOLISHING

BEVELING

Simply put, a bevel is the angle that results from two meeting surfaces. A bevel cannot be at a 90° angle, but all other angles are acceptable as bevels.

A bevelled edge refers to an edge of a structure that is not perpendicular to the faces of the piece.

A bevel is typically used to soften the edge of a piece for the sake of safety, wear resistance, or aesthetics; or to facilitate mating with another piece.

Also known as electrochemical polishing, anodic polish-ing or electrolytic polishing (especially in the metallog-raphy field), is an electrochemical process that removes material from a metallic work piece. It is used to polish, passivate, and deburr metal parts. It is often described as the reverse of electroplating. Further definition could refer to electro polishing as the process of smoothing and streamlining the surface of stainless steel up to 5-40microns by dipping the metal in electrolytic solu-tion under electric.

ANODIZING

PICKLING

Capabilities

Anodizing is an electrolytic passivation process used to increase the thickness of the natural oxide layer on the surface of metal parts. The process is called anodizing because the part to be treated forms the anode elec-trode of an electrical circuit. Anodizing increases resist-ance to corrosion and wear, and provides better adhe-sion for paint primers and glues than bare metal does. Anodic films can also be used for a number of cosmetic effects, either with thick porous coatings that can absorb dyes or with thin transparent coatings that add interfer-ence effects to reflected light.

The thermal oxides from any heat treatment process and welding mainly Iron Oxides of various states, readily corrode and in almost every application, will contaminate product media in which they are in con-tact with. It is vital to remove these oxides to main-tain the surface properties of stainless steel. Mechan-ical treatments can remove the bulk of these oxides, although these methods can smear the surface entrapping contaminants which may later release, causing failure to the function of the product. For ex-ample, if an abrasive wheel employed to remove the oxides, it can have the dual action of decontaminat-ing and recontaminating the surface.

PVD COATING

PASSIVATION

To ensure a fabrication or components corrosion re-sistance is optimized prior to delivery, it should un-dergo a passivation stage. Employing high oxidizing agents all surfaces are either sprayed or immersed in a solution which really oxidizes the Chromium. This rapidly forms the inert layer on the material and cre-ates the critical surface property relied upon in ser-vice. Several methods of passivation are employed depending on the Alloy, pre-treatment and type of application. Both ISO 15730 and ASTM A967 Stainless Steel Passivation specification details each process in depth.

Simply referred to as Physical vapor deposition (PVD) describes a variety of vacuum deposition methods which can be used to produce thin films and coat-ings. It is a vacuum coating process that produces a brilliant decorative and functional finish. We can achieve double color combination Advisable if whole requirement are done in one batch as different batch production can lead to color alteration.

CHROME PAINTING

ETCHING

We have developed a chrome coating technology which is guaranteed to last and is as resilient and long lasting as automotive grade paint. It is cost effective, long last-ing and very close to real chrome coating. Applications

Decorative Chrome PaintingDecorative chrome is designed to be aesthetically pleas-ing and durable. Decorative chrome plating is also very corrosion resistant and is often used on car parts, tools and kitchen utensils.

Hard Chrome PaintingHard chrome, also known as industrial chrome or engi-neered chrome, is used to reduce friction, improve du-rability through abrasion tolerance and wear resistance in general, minimize galling or seizing of parts, expand chemical inertness to include a broader set of.

It is the processing of engraving (metal, glass, or stone) by coating it with a protective layer, drawing on it with a needle, and then covering it with acid to attack the parts the needle has exposed, especially in order to produce prints from it. – The acid corrodes or eat away the exposed (with Needle) parts. The etching process is known as biting .The waxy resist prevents the acid from biting the parts of the plate which have been covered. The longer the plate re-mains in the acid the deeper the “bites” become.

COLD ARC WELDING

EMBOSSING

Embossing is a metal forming process for producing raised or sunken designs or relief in sheet material by means of matched male and female roller dies, by pass-ing sheet or a strip of metal between rolls of the desired pattern, theoretically with no change in metal thickness.

The lower the thickness of the sheet the more beautiful

and efficient Embossing increase the strength of ma-terial It makes the surface of the material scratch free.

Cold Arc Weld - Welding with minimum heat input. Due to the minimum heat input, Cold Arc Weld is perfectly suitable for thin plates and heat sensitive materials such as Stainless Steel, Aluminium or high-strength steel. Cold Weld combines a pulsed arc with AC technology.

Cold welding or contact welding is a solid-state weld-

ing process in which joining takes place without fusion/heating at the interface of the two parts to be welded.

BEAD FINISH

BLASTING & PAINTING

Simply referred to as uniform matte finish of sheet sur-face with micro pits blasting is the operation of forci-bly propelling a stream of abrasive material against a surface under high pressure to smooth a rough surface, roughen a smooth surface, shape a surface, or remove surface contaminants.

Electropolishing is the ultimate process in the surface finishing of stainless steel and produces a superior finish with unique properties. The process is carried out by immersion in a tank with an electrolyte and a DC power passed through a rectifier having the op-posite effect of electroplating the process removes a layer of material between 5 to 40um (microns). As the process has no impact to the surface and the process solution, temperature is far low the critical structure formation zone. This renders the surface chemically pure, clean and thus, undisturbed crystal-line structures are exposed. These surfaces have sev-eral features and characteristics unmatched by any other surface finishing treatment.
