• Currently undertaking post graduate study in Graduate certificate of Health with a rural and remote major via Southern Queensland University.
Goals and Career Objectives:
I am keen to obtain a position within this facility in order to develop my skills, knowledge and
experience as a registered nurse. I have future goals to engage in post graduate study with an aim
to specialising in areas such as aged care/ Dementia care, wound management, stoma care,

14/11/14- present- Practice Nurse RN- Quacks at Bamford Lane Medical health
centre.
10 /11/2014- to current t ime- Registered/Practice nurse at Quacks on Bamford Lane
(Private Practice Medical center) and Mater hospital (on call) RN.
I Currently work a part time position at the Quacks on Bamford Lane- a private practice medical
centrer. This practice has five current MD’s as well as periodical Medical students.
• Duties include providing direct nursing care (triage) to clients who phone or walk in.
• Immunisations for adults and children including baby and toddler health checks. This includes
travel vacinations as well as influenza and Q fever.
• Baby and child growth and development recording- weight height etc.
• Set up and assistance with minor operations, mirena and implanon insertions.
• Sterilsation of instruments, stock control and ordering.
• ECG, spirometry, Hearing and sight checks.

• I have worked on call at the Mater Hospital duties involed all areas of patient care within
the assigned areas of work- cardiac, surgical and medical.• I adhere to and abide by the Occupational safety and policy framework for both the Mater
Hospital and the Townsville hospital employees.• I endeavour to deliver the safe provision of care and have a commitment towards
advocating for patients and clients. I do so by keeping abreast of the ethical and legal dimensions of nursing as covered under the Queensland Health Department.

NGO’s and Government agenices for direct patient discharge needs, Identify and plan
for discharge needs for community and veterans needs. Worked with RMO’s, Rn’s and
allied health for patient care and continuity. Worked with older adults with comlexed
needs for dishcarge in order to ensure holistic care post discharge.

home and then specialised in the dementia unit (coolock). I also did some hostel nursing within this time span- 1990-1991 (Nursing home, dementia unit and hostel section)

Gaps in Work / Practice History
• From 1995- 2007 I undertook family responsibilities and worked from home as a home day-
care provider, childcare assistant and teacher’s aide while taking time to raise my children and provide direct nursing care to my father who was suffering from Parkinson’s disease.
• I proceeded in 2007 to undertake a period of study with the competency assessment board to
regain my nursing qualification to practice (2007).
• I then went on to work in Canberra in 2008, returning to Townsville and commencing work
with the Townsville General Hospital and starting the Bachelor of nursing science degree.• In 2012 I undertook additional study to gain my medication endorsement with the attainment
of Diploma of nursing (division 2) through the Southbank Institute of TAFE.
